Map Drop Adjustments

In addition to the details on map drop changes in this manifesto post, we are making further adjustment to map drops.

1) Each map boss will have a flat 20% change to drop an additional map. This will not apply multiple times for maps where a map has multiple bosses, nor will it double up when a map boss is twinned.

2) We are making adjustments to the way map levels are decided, that will reduce the odds of low tier maps being dropped.

Together these changes should more than triple the number of +2 maps players would be getting (as well as an improvement of +1 maps), compared to the beta.

For the love of all that is holy, yes. Finally some positive news about the map drops after weeks of constant nerfs.
Finally people can stop complaining now lol
sounds good qarl, look forward to trying it.

Not sure what this means exactly.

Does it mean if it's a Twinned map, each boss has a 10% of dropping an additional map?
QQQQQQQQQQQQUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLL I LOVE YOU!
Why doesn't twinned have a higher chance of dropping +2 maps? Some twinned bosses like Crematorium are very dangerous, so they should give more maps. To make twinned not mandatory the second boss could have a reduced guaranteed chance of dropping a map (maybe 10%)?

I had assumed that the full rollout of the map boss +2/dropslot stuff was going to wait until the map bosses themselves had been added or adjusted. Are there still plans to do adjust or add mechanics to existing boss fights, or has that been pushed back?

Because then everyone would just want to roll double boss. The *entire point* of the map changes were to discourage rolling maps for the same cheesy mods every time.
