Can i use two curse auras and cast another two curses?
Well, for aurabotsupport i'd still run support auras throught generousity with vitario's influence and apply curses on hit with arc. It's way more effective that way. With 7 chain arc it's gonna be sweet now.
That's what i used on tempest with friend's summoner. Last edited by Megabyte#0909 on Dec 10, 2015, 11:08:12 PM

Hmm good point. Perhaps Blasphemy may make an aurabot's life harder then. Gotta tell mates to shut down their auras

Honestly, I think with this implementation, bow users curse limit is essentially doubled.
On my build plan, I'm running Temp Chains and Enfeeble on Blasphemy. I'm also running Split Arrow, CoH, Vulnerability, Proj. Weakness/Poacher's mark. I get *huge* offensive curses up 90% of the time, but my defensive curses are *always* protecting me (actually, since I'm running poison, Temp chains isn't even that bad). So, I inflict tons of damage at a range, and if monsters are within my aura radius (which is unbuffed), they are subject to my two defenses. So, doubled curse limit (for 1 or 2 curse chars. Maybe for 3 curses as well if you sacrifice your 5L to a CoH set up, or don't mind self casting some) |

"Which part of the curse limit is confusing? If you are allowed one curse, the monster will only have 1 curse. If you have 2 max, the monster will be able to have 2 curses. Doesn't matter how they are applied, you're still limited by your curse limit which is default 1. Aura curses take precedent over cast curses, so if there is a curse aura hitting the monster, it will always be the one active and casting another curse will do nothing. " Yes, I was aware of that. So it's not having 4 curses on all the time, sorry if I didn't make that clear. But it's sort of cheating the system as a ranged user. If you have your defensive curses on blasphemy, they will always override your offensive curses *when mobs are close enough to hurt you*. However, if you play as a bow user, or ball lighting/ice spear, you primarily kill mobs that are farther than your aura's reach. So if you apply conductivity (a *huge* dps increase), and hit the mob while it has that curse, you are happy. *But*, if that mob gets close enough to hurt you, your blasphemy defensive curse overrides it, and saves your butt. So, with defensive blasphemy, you always have your improved defenses no matter what, *and* you can use an offensive curse as well without worrying about a potential loss of safety. |

Ok, I see what you are saying now. From the demo they've shown us, the curse aura seems to have a big range, so you'd probably want to link it with concentrated effect to do what you suggest. Might be a good strategy.

Weird seeing people trying to utilize the blasphemy gem against the intended point of the gem to begin with. Blasphemy is supposed to be for melee users to allow them an effective way of cursing that they do not have. Currently the best way to curse things as a melee character is leap slam linked with curses (which sucks unless you dual wield and have a very fast weapon), or to utilize CWDT linked to an aoe spell like shock or ice nova with curse on hit and a curse. You can even use the counter gems although you can only use all of them if you have a shield. Essentially you are wasting at least one 4 link item to apply a curse that has mediocre up time. Ranged classes have it easy as they can just cast a spell like ball lightning or split arrow to apply curses. Of course builds like incinerate that are likely to be attacking things within melee range should utilize blasphemy.

You're missing the main potential of blasphemy curses as defensive mechanic - leapers, devourers, bears, chargers, crazyfastmovingsnakes and other dangerous shit will instantly be cursed with Temp Chains and Enfeeble before you'll even react to them. What it is supposed to be is one thing, how and for what we'll use it is another.
Also, playing as selfcast discharge is gonna be fun - with always active warlord + assasin + poacher mark with some minimal investment. Last edited by Megabyte#0909 on Dec 11, 2015, 3:58:26 AM
