2.1.1 Hotfix

The Soulthirst interaction was way beyond powerful/fun it was totally broken, check foxtactics twitch VODs from the past couple of days.

Lots of idiots in this thread.

There is a difference between fun and overpowered, and absolutely batshit broken. Soulthirst was deep in the second tier. 500+ stacks means you kill everything instantly and break the server.

Fun and server crash is different things. Soulthirst was the second one.

If your build breaks the server and crashes instances , it deserves to be fixed. There is a clear difference in Broken and OP. Or else they would have fixed Binos already.

In all fairness I knew it would get fixed, and posted it anyway. I was using a Bino's on a character under level 80, who hasn't even got all of the quests passive points yet, and I was able to get a 300k tooltip DPS on an unlinked Frenzy. Can get a 4L that pushes upwards of a million DPS if I wanted. And of course that was all while having 90% real phys mitigation, which means I could tank basically any phys hit in the game, and come back asking for more.

And besides it did literally break the game at the end of my video. So probably a fair fix.

I mean, you're doing the right thing, but when a strong build gets posted the user is going to realise how very much he just f*cked up thanks to your hotfix policy on every strong combo.

Before ive posted my build i could gear it with GG gear with 2 ex. Right now demn Staff crafting base costs 1 ex ... wtf

Regarding this and the original "fix", GGG could had just put a hard cap of 30-50 soul stacks (also making getting max stacks have diminishing returns) and let people queue their flasks with Soulthirst. But nooo, you have to refrain uniques items mecanics from being used apart from their intended interactions! IMO this limits build creativity a lot and feels much like a knee-jerk reaction.
