You have NO IDEA if GGG was hacked, you also have NO IDEA how you got hacked.

Go figure that out, then when you have PROOF, come back and share it.

I think with this kind of unsafeness this game wouldn´t have a long half-life period.
And that´s a shame. Until this hack this game was fun. But after it i think, i´ll quit this game. Really don´t have any stimulus to play another four month just to loose all stuff again.

look, im mad they dont want to help me / us, but what you bring up here is, by any means not even close to what i think nor what do i expect from them.

I'm not spewing anything. I haven't been hacked yet thankfully, but I'am getting concerned that I might. I also don't think his intention was to spew venom. But I've followed this thread and in my personal opinion there are too many people with adequate security (to their statements at least) being hacked.
I'am all for blaming stupidity and incompetence in most cases, don't get me wrong. But the way these complaints keep piling up just seems to large to be blamed on that alone by now.

One thing bothers me, how they got my/ yours/ our e-mail address? Besides World Of Tanks i never used that e-mail in other game ( and WoT is pretty much trust-worthy game/company that made it ). Do hackers hack e-mail accounts randomly till they find some1 playing PoE or what? And no, im not an idiot, thats just not understandable for me in any way.

And one more thing, my conscience tells me to try everything i can to get all what ive been working on for so long back, at least try.

The thing is im still checking forum from time to time looking for message from devs, hey man we care for you this is what we can do for you...

And i really was prospered with it over years in many online-games.

for the hacker-access:
- i got a mail from GGG that the location was changed (from germany to china)
- i got a mail from GGG with the unlock-code because of the location
- the log of my mailprovider tells me, there wasn´t any access between my logins

Emphasized part tells me this is definitely a security weakness on GGG's part. This basically means it's possible for hackers to access our game accounts without touching our e-mails accounts.

Fun to be logged in on the website without having any idea what my password was changed to by the hackers and I can't change it back myself. Wouldn't really matter if I got it back though, because they could just take it back again.

Still, I would kind of like to keep a hold of my 40 bucks worth of account in case I feel like playing again after the security stuff is sorted out.

My account was just hacked today. No idea how they got in, changed the email account associated with the account..and basically looted everything from my level 80 toon.

Support was very helpful in getting the account back into my hands, but I am still very disappointed with not rolling it back to before the hack.

I spent a lot of time getting my toon level 80, had some ok gear (not great in comparison to others, but I liked it), had a good number of maps and orbs to make them worthwhile, and now all of that is gone.

No way I'm starting from scratch...I'd already bought 2 $50 dollar points packs..but I guess I'm done with the game. Just not worth it anymore.

I can sort of understand their position, but I can tell you it just cost them one customer. One who loved the game, but have no desire to have to start farming again from scratch with no gear, maps, orbs...again, just not worth it.
