Due to the fact that no one other than GGG (that I know of) has password hashes and will be impossible to crack using methods described here. So please google more and post more useless links about things you have no idea about. " They may or may not know it... Just because the log file is there doesn't mean GGG knows how to read the log file correctly. If the database was found it wouldn't take long to get the passwords. Today , i got hacked .... GGG do not want to know anything .... pathetic ...
( i never give my password to a friend or any other person , i never do anithing for get hacked in this game... ) ( my computer is not infected ) So , i stop this lolgame , wast time ... GGG is at the same side of the hacker and boter , so i decided to put the link to the site domain is to make them to understand that treaty the player in this way is not necessarily the best to make this game run: (Mod Edit: Link Removed) this is a site for buy / sell any currency or any poe account. (Mod Edit: Link Removed) a bot for this game should arrive soon enough and there's plenty more like this, it took me 2 minutes to search in google. So bot , stole currency and sell this to rmt company , this is a good way for make profit !! I am french , i use google tr , so sorry if you don't understand me . Maintenant je vais continuer en français , aussi je ne vois pas pourquoi je serai obliger de parler anglais alors que ggg ne nous respecte pas . J'ai perdu mon compte , et je m'en fiche un peu , c'est que je n'aime pas trop me faire ***** . Le problème c'est pour ceux qui m’ont prêté du stuff que je ne pourrai jamais rendre ... Donc en gros , il ne veulent pas rollback les compte hacker parce qu’il y en aurai trop a faire .... Voila ce que l'on ma répondu , entre autre .... This would cause a large influx of duplicated items, and the game economy would be thrown into chaos. We would also receive a huge volume of emails from people claiming they have been hacked, when in reality they have just given their items to a friend and want some duplicates. We would have to individually investigate every case like this to see if the claim is true or not, and it would be extremely easy for someone to fake an account breach. I am sorry that our policy prevents restoration, but it's there because we don't know of any way that we can do restoration that won't be abused."

I just logged back in after 2-3 months of inactivity to find my stash almost empty and no more gear to farm. I've spent many (too many) hours on this game to just start back from scratch.
I find this explication very strange. I understand that you guy are a small amount of developers, but this is something that will always happen and a viable solution is required for the players. I cant compare GGG to blizzard but at least they do an effort to look in their log and try to find the hackers/related account to ban everyone that was involved in the theft. The economy wouldn't be impacted if there was a team dedicated to retrieve and banned those who are to be punished. You lost a player (not that you really care, since i already paid my dues with some supporter title + couple of micro), that appreciated the game, that will be telling people around about my story. Sorry for the bad reputation, but i'm too frustrated right now. Bye. |

Just an idea that may sound stupid:
why don't you create a way to backup your character/items? maybe a premium feature, every backup costs so in case of emergency you can revert back to your "backup account" |

" Yeah good idea ... but you want pay for that? With Square Enix , if you got hacked , SE rollback your account , for nothing . Blizzard , trion too , all other too , exept GGG .... This is awesome.... You pay for what ? for see all of your item stole in your stach , and what ? You can just re-farm for get hacked again , etc etc .... this is normal ? ok so 2-3 months ago i got my account hacked.... i dident have all that much anyways so no idea why they would want my stuff i dident even have a exhalted only a couple of those lvl 31-33 bows or w/e lvl they where.
SO i just did a pc/system format/factory i made a brand new email adress. also this computer will ONLY be used for league of legends / this game from here on in.... If i get hacked again i will never play again for one, and n2 i will start thinking it's someone internal. |

well i just got hacked today i dont know what to do =( this is terrible. I dont use any fansites i only use the main path of exile. i dont even talk to people in game. sigh and im guessing nothing can be done.
