Patch 2.4.1

I am well aware of the shitstorm on reddit. However, I think that it is possible that a backlash reaction to reddit's take can be just as devoid of reason or critical thought. In this case, my little cadre is getting screwed by having one of the characters nerfed out of nowhere, so this is a reaction to the event itself, not a piling on from reddit.

My buddies and I do what is pejoratively called 'hipster' theorycrafting that usually dodges major nerfs (mid-season or otherwise), because we are sifting for treasure among the trash. However, in this case, one of our builds is getting caught up in it. It takes us a while to work up into the toughest content because we are trying out new ideas and some of them don't pan out or need big changes. We are just running our first T15 maps this week, so the timing could not be worse.

you are right, i wasn't advocating for a change "because" there is a shitstorm on reddit but because i believe that nerfs and major balance changes should happen at the end of a league and not in the middle unless it's a real emergency. i just mentioned it because, while GGG staff is usually quite ready to post on reddit, today nobody dared to show his/her face... i wonder why. :D
regarding item trades: i don't check the forum often so don't send me PMs about the items i have for sale, just add me ingame and contact me when i'm online.

i'm usually online for a few hours after 20.00 UTC and a lot more during weekends.
All those Atlas changes and nothing done to make finding those missing t3-t6 maps in every non-trader's atlas.

RIP anyone who maps without trading for maps.
We fight to delay the end because it's the means that matter.

I strongly suggest GGG fixes the trade system as I and many others believe that it is completely lacking as it stands. The current system allows a handful of gamers to control the market in a nutshell and requires outside tools and wasted time researching prices and waiting lots and lots of waiting for items to sell. This is totally broken and kills the game experience for me.

POE Pros:
1. Huge skill tree
2. Great gem skill system
3. Good variety of weapons, armors and gear to use

POE Cons:
1. Trade system relies on community tools which give the tool builders unfair advantage in trade by setting prices or buying items before everyone else and inflating prices.
2. No inventory sorting function
3. No easy way to find anything in your stash beyond a basic single tab keyword search
4. Worst RNG I've ever seen in a game. Why is it always the same lackluster, low value uniques dropping
5. No worthwhile guaranteed or good odds at decent loot for completing most anything in the game
6. So many drops that are completely useless not even usable for crafting or worth anything - why waste resources having them drop in the first place?
7. Upgrading for a large portion of the community is difficult unless you pay real money to a farmer or game auction house. I've had several people tell me this is the way to do well in POE. Pay to play. I'm starting to think this by design with POE - is GGG the driving force behind the farmer market?
8. When a league ends all the items in your stash are transfered to empty stash tabs or any stash tab that you purchase afterwards - thus filling the stash tabs. I have well over 80 stash tabs filled with stuff and I cannot be bothered to spend hours going through it TBH. Again this is a game design issue - no real way to manage inventory, search it, sort it...

thank you for posting this.

For what it's worth, I would like to see my support dollars tuned toward these concerns also.

I would like to draw particular attention to the paragraph above along with POE Cons: #2. I would include the ability to better manage the mtx stash which is an absolute mess, including the ability to "Unequip all" from all skill gems, armor and weps across all chars.

Updated Essence of Horror to show "Socketed Gems have +3.5% additional Base Critical Strike Chance" instead of 3%. It was only the value shown that was incorrect.

This is even more bugged... gloves crafted with horror are now showing a 0.03% crit chance. This literally does not give a character any additional crit............. at all.

Unlisted patch note that Vaal Glacial Hammer's Ice Wall effect is now 100% piereced by player projectiles preventing shotgunning.

Can anyone confirm if this is intentional?

=( indeed. The whole mechanics nerf for endgame content in the middle of the season is rough. One of my guildmates is pioneering a build that needs that taunt for boss fights. We are just hitting T15 maps. Not cool.

I don't always post here, but when I do...

I think any respectable company would make adjustments to something they feel breaks a game encounter and goes against how they were planning for the encounter to be.

The fact that your guildmate is making a 'taunt build' this late in the season, further emphasizes the need for such a change, as stuff like that only happens when something is broken or 'too good'.

While I know it sucks for certain players, I believe it's overall a good thing to try and fix something that you've overlooked as opposed to letting people take advantage of it until the end.

You may have missed my second post on page 2. My buddy is not "making a 'taunt build' this late in the season" as you've suggested, but is developing a new variant of a theorycraft that he started last league. We are a bit ahem... slow to get to late maps due to irl time constraints and playing unconventional builds. It isn't efficient, but we usually have the time to get there. Not so in this case.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about fixing problems, but dropping an immunity (or periodic immunity in T16s) to a defensive mechanic on the entire suite of the new endgame bosses seems like a bad fix. I can't help but draw a comparison to the curse nerf from a couple leagues back. GGG admitted they'd jumped the gun in that case and I think it is the same here. You are concerned that people will "take advantage of it until the end?" As you've kind of implied by calling out the age of the league, the competition is over; we're too late in the league for people to feel like they are getting away with anything. Why come down on the slowpokes?
Doomed for Life
diversity of builds? meh , with the poor game performance 95% of the builds are unplayable for me (desync, frozen screen and many etc)

edit: second crash in a row on uberlab, good job...

Why every streamer or people who spend money has better luck than me?

My friend who spend more than $400 in this game gets good rolls, drops, even links.
Were talking about this, doing the same things with very different results. (better for him for sure)

I guess ggg gives more "lucky" to people who spend money.
