" With full endurance charges and Fortify? Topaz active? How much does it hit for on ES? Last edited by Chalace#3728 on Dec 1, 2016, 11:34:01 AM

" Don't play hardcore unless you enjoy hardcore its functionally the same as softcore these days, the challenges and content are all the same etc. If you die you go to standard, not the regular league (or everyone would start in hardcore i suspect) |

" It depends on how you define new. I got a character that's Acrobatics based and with 3.8k health dual wieleding and somehow I usually survive up to tier 9 maps. Realistically I can say I spent at most 3 ex over the period of 2 months. The thing to keep in mind that is that some maps are flat out dangerous ignoring tier. I've had tier 9 maps that were safer than some of the tier 6 ones. Learn which mods are bad for your character and which ones are good. For example, I no longer run any physical reflection maps because they would probably oneshot me. I rarely have a boss problem unless going against merc Izaro who apparently sometimes deals 4k+ damage oneshotting me even with fortify+enfeeble. I am life based melee and I can survive ti1-t9 maps and I doubt I'm one of the stronger players and am average at best. |

" I agree and disagree. Now the end game content cannot be played w/o using flasks, dodging, using mechanics in your favor and upright play professionally. It does not matter if you have the strongest build you have to play like a pro for the end game. Dont misunderstand it is way better considering the alternatives. BUT you have to think about casual players too man. They will not and cannot play like a pro. So yes they should be able to face tank everything in the game but the problem is how to serve these both purposes at the same time? Because of that I suggest GGG to create a new casual standart league for these kind of players. Let them envy the other leagues' players, their super items and such. May be one day they get used to the game so they would play the harder contents no? Like the relation between the HC and SC. But as of now even SC end game content is too much for casuals. Im just saying. |

"Action RPGs have always been about two things: devastating skills and valuable items". <-- from THE game sections page... Guess GGG forgot about this claim of theirs in favor or nerfs.

" The end-game content (bosses) you are referring to consists of 3-4 predictable abilities, dealing with these does not require professional skills, just simple logic. I don't see whats hard about moving out of the way of some orbs, or a big mace that's about to smash you in the face, you know its coming. These are all scripted npc's. The restraint in PoE is not difficulty, it is time and knowledge. Let's say a new 'easy mode' server is created, then what? Catering to people that only play a few hours a week would require a significant change to progression speed. Right now in standard people can kill bosses in a few seconds, do we also make a harder version? What incentive would people have to play a more time consuming version of the same content? The cycle is never ending, and is something faced in every multiplayer game. You simply can not cater content to suite everyone, realistically. More importantly, do you think developers would like to spend any amount of time at all in developing such content, as you suggest, that would just allow people to face-tank everything regardless? what incentive is it giving developers to make new encounters/abilities, if all you want is to press a button and win? If you are unable to invest enough time into reaching your goals in a league then play standard, its not going anywhere any time soon. you will get there eventually. about flasks, deaths, hp, shaper etc - and BALANCE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UcQUz2XSqY GGG says 'still not enough balance' so 'lets buff BV' ))) p.s. actually i hate leech based builds - becouse armour evasion and other defensive worries became useless. Last edited by rrurrer03#2001 on Dec 1, 2016, 1:41:42 PM

" If the bosses consist of 3-4 boring, basic attacks, then I fail to see how they spent some kind of exuberant amount of time creating them when I am pretty sure someone could have came up with the idea for most of them within a few hours. They aren't fresh or well designed bosses (to me), so why should I not melt them when the most difficult part about them is essentially the fact that if I get clipped in the toe by an attack animation I just die? If they want me to not want to just cheese the bosses down instantly, why make them so tedious and uninspired? You said it yourself they boil down to 3-4 predictable abilities. |
