I thought about going for imperial claw base type. I also had one in a previous season for some time, but ran into serious trouble with mana supply without gemini claw. I don't remember whether it was just due to overall worse gear or you just have to deal with it when using this build. I remember that I was specifically using +mana on hit jewels back then, which was a huge loss of potential dps thinking about it
What kind of watchers eye? Initial post recommends abyss jewels straight across the board for every slot Last edited by SoyCrusader#0622 on Mar 1, 2019, 12:49:33 PM

" Wrath pen, written both in POB and in changelog, just not under jewels, updated to reflect that now as well. |

I was checking out the skill tree section and saw that the "64 point" one already has Vaal Pact. Is it really necessary/worth it? I just started again after taking a break since Harbringer league, I played a bunch of VP characters back then, and remember never taking VP until after I was done with uber lab (or regretting in and out of it if I wanted to do some lab farming).
I did feel like lab was easier this time around because I've been less laggy so I don't get stuck in traps while my character is 10 screens away from them. However, I haven't tried VP builds so I would still like to know what you guys think about Vaal Pact in lab. Last edited by xWords#6362 on Mar 3, 2019, 4:11:31 AM

" I mean a lot of it is because you literally path right by it, but yes i would still say its worth it. It quite literally just doubles your leech rate which is really good and can be noticed this early. The only downside is you no longer regen, but on builds like these we don't focus on regen or anything so it does not really matter. Lab is kind of a pain but not a huge deal if you are just running it once for your ascendancies. If you are farming lab, then this is not the best build for that. |

" Maybe I was just dumb back then, or maybe it was the lags I had, but lab feels incredibly easy now, even with Vaal Pact specced. Anyway, thanks for the answer and the guide! I just finished act 10 and it felt really smooth throughout, although I did have to turn off hoi until act 5 or 6 because mana felt too tight even with the leech node and elreon jewlery. Think it was mostly not having a decent weapon until then. The guide says it's a good league starter, but I'm wondering how you go about gearing up, specifically with weapons. Do you not take the claw wheel so you can use any high ele dps weapon you find, while taking different leech nodes around the tree until you are set and respec? Thanks again! |

" I have done this as a league starter so many times. Any high EDPS weapon is fine until you really start getting into maps and such. Daggers/swords/claws etc. Absolute worse case scenario you spend a chaos or two and buy one but ive done that very rarely. |

Minor item/tree changes in 3.6. Tombfists lose attack speed and loreweave nerfed to 78% instead of 80% res. Nothing build changing or anything though. Updated for 3.6!

Wonder, if it can be done with Scion: Raider and, i.e. Elementalist (to nullify Elem reflect) or Assassin (to remove reflect from crits)
Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 |

Just noticed that some nodes will be changed in 3.6:
Sniper and Nullification cluster replaced with Lethal Assault and Resourcefulness cluster. Not sure of impact - i am an amatuer with this stuff. Will keep scanning for other changes. Keep up excellent work on this fun build. I was able to rejoin the game 5 weeks late into 3.5 (Betrayal) and respec to this about 2 weeks after that and still get 33 challenges in pure SSF. Could not have done that without this build and guide. Thank you. Additional since first posting: Mind drinker has moved closer to shadow jewel socket - does not affect your listed build but could be easy grab for any mana issues (thinking of SSF here). Could gripped gloves be a replacement for tomb fists - now that tombs no longer have att speed? "Monster Changes: Bosses which previously had 60% or 80% less effect of curses on them now have 33% or 66% less effect of curses on them respectively. This includes map bosses, Incursion architects, Betrayal targets, Breachlords, Shaper, Elder and others." - WooHoo more damage for us on bosses? And finally: "Added a cap on the amount of any resource you can leech from any individual instance of leech. By default, that cap is 10% of that resource's maximum. In other words, a character with 4000 life will, by default, be able to leech a maximum of 400 life from a single hit." I struggle to understand leech mechanics anyway - will this be a problem or require some changes? Thank you again. Last edited by Branir#3462 on Mar 6, 2019, 8:25:06 AM

" Try it out I'd say. From my playing experience, I like Mind Drinker but it shouldn't be necessary when you switch to claws and get the Soul Raker node. Note that I haven't played this particular build before though, but other claw builds. " I think one of Tombfists advantages is the fact you can Maim and Intimidate enemies with the appropriate Abyss jewels socketed. Without that yes, osing the attack speed is a net DPS loss compared to Gripped Gloves (or so my PoB says at least), but I like Maim and Intimidate as defensive tools. I think playing around with that stuff to see what feels better is the way to find out. On the plus side - I think Tombfist will be a lot cheaper this league. " Definitely. As for the leech stuff - yeah, I think I have to start a PhD in maths first. ^^ =========================================================== I think I might try this as a league starter this time. I haven't played any sort of Ranger in ages and while I like to try out some of the new skills too, I wanna start with something that's tried and tested. Though I guess Uber Lab farming isn't quite it's strongest suit? FINALLY IT'S LUPUS!
