Duelist Claws/Dagger

I have a 37 claw ranger, wish I had done daggers instead.
Killing speed isn't the best, but with dual strike on left click and flicker on right to get out of trouble... it does alright. Kills most mobs in 1-2 hits. Biggest struggle i'm having is grossly outdated gear, and lack of funds to buy/make gear as it was my first toon.

Claws & daggers are for the new int/dex hybrid class that will release with next patch. This class also uses traps.

Having said that, I still want to build a dagger crit duelist/ranger because equipping 2x daggers with no passives already gives ~15%+ crit. I could probably get to 33% crit with passives added. Haven't tried yet though.

As for AOE with daggers, you will have to use Lightning Strike (for now) as there are no other AOE skills that work with daggers/claws.

I honestly can't tell when I get a crit though. Does anyone know what a crit sounds like because the patch notes said they added a crit sound

So at this point are claws a weaker option for the Duelist? I usually build fist weapon / claw type characters when I can.

From what I've read here it seems like you are better off going 2 handed or 1 handed with a shield.

Even if claws aren't optimal I'll probably still try them when I get the game (hopefully a beta key).

Claws are meant for the unannounced class.
