Sarn Arena Etiquette?
i find it pointless to attack someone who can't attack back and give a good fight. so when these sarn arena leo daily guys come, i help to get their dailies and want them to leave arena as soon as possible. cause their existence just damages pvp experience everybody is having.
about, spawn point campers, they are probably lowest life form in the universe. there is one guy dark_black_raven or something like that. he is funny, his only aim is to kill whoever spawns. what can you say to this guy? not only pvp is dead, poe is dead nowadays too. almost no trades are going on, very few players are playing. everybody is waiting for new content. i'm trying to level a marauder to lvl 95, it's painful because i find it so boring to level up. " This would be a good concept if there wouldn't be so big difference between casuals and invested players. But still, griefing ruins the concept, and people that take everything granted complaining about players/the game when they don't get it also ruins it, because they don't see it as it's their fault when they can't get it as easily as an elreon mission, you only had to right click! kinda similar to why people hate lab, they are not used to hitting walls, and see it as a flaw. It's good etiquette to mow the lawn during 180 survival daily. Slow peaceful grass cutting circles.
Edit: Anyone who wants the daily can easily avoid the lawn mower travelling in a circle at grandma speed. They can run behind you, or move out of the outer ring until you pass. Minimum effort. One day I want to see a group travelling together behind the lawn mower, in peace. Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client. " Sometimes I place all my totems/minions/traps and spam aoe skills on top of someone when they spawn beside me. It depends how much of a threat they are. And it's so stupid it makes me laugh (also, it can be very satisfying to escape/kill the camper; it's one of the only cases where a lame kill from 2x snakepit auto winter feels good). If you let a really fast/deadly opponent spawn beside you without making a deathzone on top of them, a lot of the time they end up killing you instantly as you move away. You become vulnerable after showing mercy and too often get immediately punished. But you're right, being spawn killed over and over is not a good experience. There's a difference here. The problem is when players take it to extreme and single someone out, rushing them when they spawn over and over, basically in cases where you're not a threat to them at all when you spawn (i.e. they're far away, rush you each time you spawn, and spam a long range skill like KB/LA as your invulnerability timer ticks). We see groups of players single people out in standard to do that. Not fight each other, but rush/spam ranged death at others as soon as they spawn. Typical behavior from a few high wealth mirror-gear wearing tryhards who get so butthurt when you kill them once, they rage at you for months. Fragile epeen behavior. There's much less of that attitude in league. I really like the league pvp scene. It's less ego driven, less emotional because it's all short-term/disposable character, like league players take it less seriously and just have fun, even with hobo gear early in the league, leaving behind all that standard wealth. Feedback for - have a better distance maximization algorithm for spawn location so players less frequently spawn right beside other players - give a freshly spawned player 1-2s invulnerability after they move so they can escape or kill campers (disincentive to camp/rush a fresh spawn) - auras should not require recasting (at minimum there should be another hotkey bar so we don't need to fiddle with the popup to recast auras). Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Everyone says pvp has gone to the dogs. The expirience can be painful sometimes especially for newtimers. Still, there is simply nothing as fufilling in the game as facing some real humans once in while. Thats why I keep coming back to the arena.

" Most players are spoiled brats who things that everything should be handed to them without effort, especially in PoE when 90% of the player base is copying what Mathil play without even knowing how the game work. | |
" It s about not acting like a dick. If those PVE guys are asking nicely to let them do their 180 leo, going all out on them is a dick move. When you are new in an MMA gym do you expect the instructor to knock few of your teeth and send you to hospital? Or you expect the master to show restraint and good manners toward your inferior spotty little ass? Well If you call yourself a pro and snipe on purpose Pve guys begging to let them do 180 leo, you are just a dick in my book. However if those pve guys are acting like fools and attack you or whatever then it s open season for sure. " it's situational. i tend to leave them alone if they sit in a corner, but if they start complaining like crazy, i'm not going to go out of my way to avoid them/won't try to shift (un)friendly fire away from them. " protip: don't use metaphors you're painfully ignorant about. mma "master?" please. the bigger question is why crybabies who don't want to do pvp feel compelled to go into a pvp arena and complain when... people pvp there.
