PvP RMT
What is RMT - why does it happen?
How has it affected PvP? Why does GGG delete any mention of it in PvP Discussion? Any thoughts? Last bumped on May 15, 2017, 3:42:32 PM

" It is buying in-game items, generally currency items, with real world money. It happens because people want more items in-game but are too lazy and/or unable to earn them through standard gameplay. " People, not naming anyone, have purchased in-game items with real world money. There have been people who have been either called out or are just suspicious of real money transactions. Though, a lot of the time it's people who just point fingers at people who suddenly get into the pvp scene, or suddenly save up the currency for a big boy item. " They generally delete or lock all threads on the subject, regardless of the sub-forum it's posted in. RMT'ing is against terms of service and will get you permanently banned if you're caught. Naming and shaming is also against the terms of service, so they usually lock all threads pointing out people doing bad things, even removing names of scammers and hackers in threads to avoid witch-hunts. |

Suspicious of someone doing RMT ? Add him to your friend list to monitor his actions and check his nickname on xyz.
If that person never farm and don't have a real trade list yet still manage to adapt to every meta build, you can strongly assume he is doing rmt. Last edited by IceDeal on May 14, 2017, 6:33:10 AM

* if somebody is paying you with items as exalts much lower than their value - get suspicious about RMT. that means that one just wants to switch to another build, and because he doesnt know how hard to earn currency he can let his shit go for cheap prices.
* if somebody has no valid prices for items in his/her shop, or has totally empty shop - yet adapts to every meta change - 90% of the time RMT * no farming/über lab running or no flipping around in any league *very agressive pricing of some just above average gear. because they don't aim to make profit by selling thing and their currency source is their credit cards, some of these guys put very high prices on their items. there is a difference in price manipulating and overpricing though, while loath bane has 40ex fee, and you can find them in market for 170ex(1 mirror) buying almost all of them and raising the selling price to mirror + 35ex is price manipulating. also same applies for legacy items, you can manipulate their prices, or fishing for a guy who has no patience to buy and you are the only online guy at the moment. in such cases you can make good profit. overpricing is putting an 4 mod, nothing fancy jewel for 25ex, which has been waiting to be sold since 9 months. an example of casual RMT'er: -recently a guy mirrored some weapon(i guess it was axe or jewelled foil) from rayamn, bought perfect soul taker for 3 mirrors, sold back that weapon to ray for 100ex, to get another copy of an item. why people do that? *lazyness *greed *deluded ego which requires to be fed with some narcissism to keep going.(rings a bell?) i think amazonprime is legit btw, he has his 13th brood twine copy, playing since 4 years. i see no problem there. there is also haters, who has no idea how to earn currency, accuse everyone for doing RMT. a try harder in leagues can do easily 2-3 mirrors profit by just farming - buying stuff from desperate sellers and put to market with normal price. there are also some flipping techniques - playing HC bringing league only uniques to SC - farming vinktars very early - farming breach uniques very early - doing über atziri very early - flipping leveling items at the first week of the league or simply playing high clearspeed MF build etc etc. "You have great power. You're right to be proud. It's unfortunate you have to die now, but I will honor you with 45% of my strength." Last edited by Rupenus on May 14, 2017, 11:28:55 AM

" With all those SR builds around it's not that noticeable anymore, but in prophecy/essence it was possible to met someone with 13+ GS in first days of the league. It removes 'itemization' issue.
