[3.2] 2H Warchief - SSF/HC/Starter [Berserker] - All Content (?) (Videos)

I agree. Brain Rattler is surprisingly strong. Much more than the pDPS values of the weapon indicates. Just 20% lightning pen is like 20% more damage, plus the usage of weapon elemental damage makes it really strong for its very cheap price.
honestly didnt think you can get this much dps from the starforge version. I guess both versions are viable at this point. You can get your normal dps higher with the brain rattler version probably but it's a bit weaker against bosses. Will try the BrainRattler version tho, wanna see where it gets me and it's quite cheap aswell, so why not.
Hi, u mention "For Jewels, get Life%, attack speed, totem damage, and phys damage with 2H weapons."

Can i assume this suffix are working for AW

(10-12)% increased Melee Damage
(8-10)% increased Damage
(10-12)% increased Area Damage
(3-5)% increased Attack Speed
(2-4)% increased Attack and Cast Speed

And this prefix:

(4-6)% increased Attack Speed with Two Handed Melee Weapons

Sorry i did not read through the 23 pages.

All those indeed apply. I didn't want to make the section too long but maybe I should've.
Edit: double post ignore.

Yea, for it being that much cheaper the damage is really good. Definitely more cost effective when compared to the Starforge version.

Also, in my calculations I mentioned that I didn't include shock in the Brain Rattler DPS, totally forgetting that Starforge has "Your Physical damage can shock". So that falls away and makes the numbers more comparable.
If one were to wear both Kaom's heart and roots, which gem setup would you have to drop?
Is it worth wearing those 2 together?
Or can I afford to wear only one of the 2 due to not enough sockets for gems?

Well, going off the PoB pastebin for the Starforge version you get around 9000 life with Kaom's and 8000 life with a Belly.

Now just decide for yourself if getting more sockets is worth the loss of life.

But yea, either go for a Heart or Roots would be my advice. With both you only have 2x4 sockts to work with and here is what you pretty much have to socket:

Leap Slam-Faster Attacks-Blood Magic-(Fortify)

Rallying Cry-Enduring Cry-Inc. Duration

Meaning no room for any Aura/Mana reservation stuff.

I think I will be going with Kaom's Heart and rare boots. Rare boots with 100+ life, some resists are cheap for us because movement speed is optional on a Leap Slam char.

6L Warchief in your weapon
Leap Slam - Faster Attacks - Blood Magic/Fortify - Enduring Cry
Lightning Golem
You have 3 slots left for auras & curses. It's doable. This setup might even be preferable in hardcore, were you to run Arctic Armour + Enfeeble Blasphemy.

Resolute Technique means our totems do not shock with Starforge. Brain Rattler totems can shock (15%), but its raw damage is simply not large enough to shock a big target like Shaper for any noticeable amount, so it might as well not be taken into account in cases against end-game bosses.

Nevermind brainfart on the Starforge thing.

But on the Kaom's items: Do you really think 400-500 more life from wearing both Roots and Heart is better than the defense and offense you get from the warcries? Because wearing Heart and good rare boots is only around 400 less life than Heart+Roots.

I mean, we are talking about "insanely high life" vs. "absolutely more than you will ever need" life :D

If it was the question between 4500 and 5000 life, sure go for less sockets. But 8500 vs 9000? Nah, get the sockets, use the warcries, get HUGE damage and defensive boosts. Even in HC imho.
