sad that you guys backed down so hard about all these changes.

the charge stuff needed work - at least with uniques whose identity was based around them. Other than that it was good. Power charges need something to make them valuable to non crit builds, otherwise they are the weakest charge by far and one that is ignored the most by far.

made my day :)
I like the changes, especially that you decided NOT to implement the restriction with frenzy charges (attack damage only).

I have to say though, the moment I first read the intended changes I thought the main reason for it was not that frenzy charges are too mandatory like claimed in the original thread, but that the power charge nerf (30% crit chance instead of 50%) would lead to NO ONE picking up power charges on the tree (30% conditional crit chance for 2 passives is pretty bad), so the power charges needed an additional bonus. Thus the 4% more spell damage per power charge which then led to the frenzy charge nerf.
Good to reflect on the changes, however not mentioning a date makes the uproar only worse if it gets changed during a league. If it's not changed during harbinger...well that would make me disappointed. It looks like you guys and gals at GGG know that something has to be done against the powercreep.
"while making them more valuable for the majority of Intelligence Spellcaster builds in another way."

What if you add the (amount of)charges to specific classes. Eg Witch is getting more power charges than Ranger or Marauder etc. On top of this the classes/ascendenies(occultist etc) give you an additional bonus for these charges like spell-dmg per charge. So if you want to benefit of power charges you might choose a witch rather than ranger because you have 1,2 or 3 charges more than ranger and have a bonus of spell-dmg.

i wouldn't touch the attributes of the charges at all because this forces players to go a straight path and takes away a big portion of diversity and the game starts to feel like just following a template because they feel forced to go this specific way.

How the fuck do you think humanity advances our sciences?

Proving by experience, not only theorycraft.

If you think that 'HC = skill and knowledge' - you wrong. Skill and knowledne have nothing to do with HC or SC. This skill and knowledge, no matter that game mode you prefer more.

I don't get why people are saying Reddit balanced the game. I don't read Reddit, cus fuck that place, but there's a 38 page thread here where many, many people said they did not like the changes. Not every post there was against the changes, but the vast majority were, including me.

Personally, I think the changes outlined in this manifesto make much more sense for shock and chill. I'm also glad they're not pigeonholing what builds charges can apply to. Changes make to charges should still allow them to be used by the vast majority of builds.

Real shame you backed off on charges, it was a good change.

Why do you allow reddit to balance your game?

It was such a good change.. It's like we are going back to 90s, sorry.. almost to beta, where frenzy charges gave almost no bonus and noone used them. Do you want this to happen? For power charges being used only by "special" attack builds?

All these people blaming reddit don't even look at the beta feedback board, clearly.

These are ALL responses to things we've been discussing there.

Thank god they thought twice about that stupid looking Split Arrow jewel too. Man that was lame.

Please don't listen to Reddit.

Its funny how some people ( especially some streamers who think they know everything and their oppinion is the only smart one ) try to denounce reddit.

This topic is a perfect example for why reddit is useful and delivers valuable contributions. Clearly the Jewel vendor was flawed as was the charge changes. Both changes can be done with more investment of effort and time but the reddit discussions clearly stated their problems in their current state.

I am certain GGG is smart enough to know which reddit contributions are reasonable and should be considered and which not.

I think most of the reddit critiques suffer from stereotypical thinking ( seeing the reddit crowd as a homogenous mass ) while in fact reddit offers a wide spread of diverse opinions.
