[3.0] Wand’s Guide to Wanding – Comprehensive Overview of Wanders

Really enjoying this build and have never dumped more currency into anything. What should my next upgrade be? Character is DoomSketchPrism (respecced from Doomfletch build). Thanks!

Started this build a bit more than a week ago - it's my first level 100 actualy and i really enjoyed the run went to 96 with regular maps then jumped on Beachhead rotations with random group in 820 ( great players ! )

Had a blast, this guide is awesome i've always been a bit stuck with wander stuff and it kinda solved everything, really appreciate the work put into it !

Got a lot to think about now, i know for lot of you guys going 100 specialy in SC doesn't represent much but for me it has been a hell of a run and really fun, figured many things that could improve my next try at doing it and generaly knowledges about PoE.
Going to give it a try in HC next league that's a sure thing.

Thank you @Desreien.

Hf :)

I'm aware of this, and right under the Bandit section, that is exactly what I say. Depending on gear / setup, 2 passive points is a better option. In my level 95 tree the DPS is only 1.8% more with 2 passive points, but at the cost of 15% all res. But at level 100, Alira outperforms +2 passives since you have a lot less damage nodes left that you can take.

What you said was that Alira is almost always the better choice. I'm saying it is actually the opposite. I assumed your goal with the lvl 95 trees was the maximize your dps with your end game gear, and I improved it by going Kill All since the all res isn't needed with your gear. The caveat at lvl 100 is likely true, but it changes the rules from being a lvl 95 tree.

I know this, and it is fair. I haven't had time to update the PoB links and the guide to reflect this. In the end it's not very relevant anyways.

Not relevant? You said that you wanted the dps number to reflect a realistic scenario (ie - not ticking the frenzy charge box on your pathfinder), but ticking a fake 50% more damage box isn't relevant? I can understand not having the time to update the guide, but come on man, this is a very relevant point.

1 passive point for 0.8% life leech is very much worth it in this case. Without flasks up, the leech difference is massive. For some longer fights, your flasks won't be up the entire time, so it is worth 1 point imo.

A fair counter point. I've been playing Pathfinder, so I haven't had flask issues on bosses. Or if I do run out of flasks, I try to port out.

Wise Oak is almost no difference in DPS vs Atziri's Promise (around 0.9%DPS), but you don't need to worry about resist with Atziri's Promise. The only situation where I would recommend using Wise Oak over Atziri's Promise is if your resists are balanced.

"In the Endgame setup, replace your Basalt / Jade flask for this during bosses (Shaper / Uber Atziri)." In both of the end game bosses that you listed, chaos damage is literally a non issue. So you are turning down a free damage buff for no reason at all. Hell, the defensive portion of Wise Oak has the potential to be MUCH more helpful than Atziri's leech. But if you want to turn down free damage and more survivability under your own rules, then I can't stop you. You could at least consider mentioning that Wise Oak is a small gain over Atziri's if Lightning is your highest Resist.
Hello,

thank you for this guide, I am enjoying the wander as Ascendant, clearing maps is a blast, though I still struggle quite a bit with single target DPS. Anyway, since I use Tempest, can you recommend anything worth slotting into the open socket next to Herald of Ice instead of Onslaught?

Thanks in advance!

Hey.

Great guide! Got this character to lvl 91, was a breeze and very fun. I've got a question though... I had this amulet drop for me recently and I have no idea how to proceed or what to price it. Anything similiar I search on POE trade is multiple exalts. It has and open spot for health and elemental damage!

Please let me know what you think I should do or even what you think it's worth. Thanks!

Nice amulet, if it had a t1/t2 life and open prefix it'd be worth a ton imo, 2-3 dmg mods seem to be quite common, indeed it has open spot for health and +dmg but since you can't multimod the only way you can get that is by mastercraft + slam or double slam, which is a really low chance of happening, it's a sick dps amulet that you can use if you are not lacking too much resist/hp, personally i would craft +lightning as i have really high hp gear already and with 171% hp on tree i can sacrifice some life on rings/ammy to go all in with dps
Thanks for the input! The way I see it is that this amulet has 60 total strength which equates to 30 life (which is not great but at least its something). I was thinking to master craft lightning damage and then slam an exalt and HOPE for either more LIFE or maybe fire/cold elemental damage...

Not sure though, any other input would be appreciated!

Also should I throw a divine on it? Almost all the rolls are on the low end of the tier.... Thanks!

Divining should give a bit more crit chance/wed/str so probably a good idea if you plan on keeping it, indeed it's not a lot of life but it sure helps, also the strength is great for gem/gear requirements.

Maybe craft mana and exalt, so you can possibly hit life OR a good tier of lightning damage while blocking mana prefix, if no luck then you can remove craft and still craft either life/lightning, not sure if that's the best but just an idea! Haven't messed with crafting much yet
Hello,this dps good?

Thank you @Desreien.

How much playtime did leveling to 100 take? I've hit a wall with my desire to level up manually after hitting 94 but have been considering rotations. How do they actually work in practice since I've seen a ton of posts complaining about people messing them up?
