Vaal Summon Skeleton.

Unquestionably the 20/20 vaal skele. The vaal version of this skill makes metamorphs and bosses trivial.

A tip though, grab a 6 socket weapon and recolor it blue, stuff it full of summon skeles and keep it in your secondary weapon slot. When they hit 20 trade them for Quality 20s, then when they hit 20/20 start double corrupting. You'll probably get a 21/23 Vaal Skele in the first or second batch. If you want to settle for 21/20 Vaal Skele you can do it much quicker as farming the Locus of Corruption is pretty hit or miss time-wise.
Hey ! First of all, thanks for this amazing build ! i`m really liking this so far !

I also have a question, i`m trying to craft a new wand for me, spamming caos, trying to get +1 minion gems and i end up with this !

This is the same as +1 minion in the end ?

Thanks

Question: Impale over splash even when map clearing?

Another question: is there a consensus on spirit offering vs flesh offering?

I don't like gem-swapping so I use impale/dread banner the entire time. Again, I have no trouble quickly clearing juiced up T16s - the only mod I ever scour is Physical Reflect - they're doable but annoying.

I spam Spirit Offering constantly when in combat. With my 6.3k HP pool it generates over 1.5k energy shield every cast. With bone armor that makes quite an effective buffer against damage spikes. Skeles kill and move fast enough without Flesh Offering in my opinion. I am running 4x To Dust.

Question since you are ahead of me: At that point, do you think skeletons are outperforming a baron zombie build? I've built up about 12 EX in currency and debating if I want to invest further into my skeleton build or zombies, and unclear as how they both perform at the upper tier.

I've determined I can fit in an animated guardian into either build, so I guess that is my immediate goal, but curious where I want to go from there.
Difference between zombies and skelies is, you never need to recast zombies, just walk around or cyclone with them. Skeletons you cast, and it can be advantage during boss fights like sirus where your zombies can die, which doesn't matter for skeletons.
Skeletons deal sigificantly more damage than zombies. Even 200ex baron zombie with perfect gear, cheap skeleton setup will be 2-3x PER skeleton. Minmaxed high budget skeleton even more.
It comes down to fact that for map clear you don't need that much damage, and ppl rather run without casting anything, so they prefere zombies. Boss will take longer to kill, so thats tradeoff they accept.

As for people asking for impale damage. You NEED use dread banner, thats the whole point. I have banner enchant, and with all that generosity+banner, it gives me +36% more impale dps.

For skeletons i use frenzy-burtality-impale-melee phys (same damage as minion dmg, I just need it to be red gem) and last gem is splash/multistrike. Swap to multistrike for bosses if I need.
I prefere not to run map setup with multistrike, even though multistrike adds more damage than other supports. Skeletons dash with splash, id rather them to have max damage in their first strike, rather for them to hit 3x to get multistrike bonus damage. It is more suited for sustained dps when they get to hit same target many times before it dies.
Also note that once you can afford/drop melee phys awakened version thats massive dmg upgrade, because of the intimidate thats flat 10% more, besides few % from gem itself.

TY for the information.

Follow up question: why do none of these variants fit in an animated guardian? Is the net benefit not that important for skeletons?

1. There are a couple ways to craft the wands. Make sure they're the right ilvl to hit the mods you want (typically ilvl84). You can alteration spam one until you hit +1 Minion/Spell Gems, Regal and Annul until you get a nice base and Multi-Mod it. I've dumped a couple thousand alt doing this and don't prefer it - those wands have a huge mod pool. The best method is probably fossil crafting. Check PoE DB to confirm but I think you can slam Jagged/Shuddering/Corroded/Metallic to get a good chance at the +skills prefixes. You could also spam: Bound fossils, Bound + Aetheric, Bound + Aetheric + Corroded, Bound + Corroded + Metallic, Bound + Aetheric + Corroded + Metallic or Bound + Prismatic + Corroded + Metallic. There's a lot of options for fossil slamming just play around with cost-to-slam and the PoE DB to find what you're comfortable with.

Jagged/Metallic/shuddering/corroded is correct for a good chance at a good wand. https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/dcdlxl/crafting_2_to_minion_gems_wand/

Crafted both my wands for about 2 ex for the first one and 3 for the second. Worth well more than that if you were to buy.

There is few reasons.
For guardian to have significant impact on the build, it needs to use kingmaker, and that is currently 1.3ex.
This league metamorphs can be randomly very dangerous, you get one with some crazy slam, vaal storm call, and all your minions including spectres and guardian will die. Too costly.

You can make cheap guardian but then it is just waste of gem slot, tanky minion that walks around and does nothing pretty much.
There are some cool combos for es builds, that synthesis helmet that can boost es on high es build even by over 1k, thats worth it. But for life build there is no such thing.

As for these +2 wands and crafting with 4 socket resonators.
It isn't easy to hit that, be aware. ~40-50c per try, pretty expensive.
Also it is very difficult to hit +2 and other good rolls, usually it has nothing good and all affixes blocked.
You can instead buy wand with +1 and nice damage roll + open preffix/suffix to add either minion speed or damage, dps will be about the same as crappy +2 wand that costs way more.
