3.8 New Queens Escape + Baron - super fast physical skeletons + zombies

I've been ignoring physical minions in Delve because none of the new items are worth testing with this build. Instead, I've found 4 builds that were worth writing down, I thought I'd share here because I'd love others to try them and find new variations:

3.4 Fun/Meme Build Guides
The Drunken Moonwalker Occultist Projectiles: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2228787
(Note: This one took a while to take off (not until level 69, and throwing 20 chaos investment in decent resists gear, but at that point, whoa boy did it become fun! I'm definitely taking this one to end game, it could be a real winner. I have barely been touched by a monster since I finished uber lab and worked to T9 maps)

Lazy Totem SRS Tank: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2202060
(not a great synergy build, but my first ever build was an SRS totem ...)

Super Speedy SRS and Zombies: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2219721
(This one levels even smoother than the physical minion build, but falls off defensively late game)

Kitavas thirst SRS, with 'where the hell am I' flame dashes: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2200389
(you'll die from it, but I recommend trying kitavas thirst and flame dash at least once, it's laugh out loud funny!)

This is still a great build, I was finally able to beat uber elder with a Howa Jugg, I was only unable to do so with this necro because I have terrible internet.

Grim, is there a MF/Quant version of this you can think of? I think even if I didn't want to roll with it as my heavy hitter for a league that its an amazing starter to build up currency with.

I like your build with atziri's reflection, I was able to buy one for my jugg with selling all my gear from this build, I may make a second character that can use it this league.

I agree. I spend hours looking on these forums, and have only found a few builds that can run to end game as smoothly and cheaply as melee skeletons

I have never run a dedicated MF build, I tend to aim for cheap builds that need no currency! The projectile minion build I'm running now could easily clear tier 1-13 maps with a variation like this: https://pastebin.com/zRrkW0wb
But your personal movespeed will be slow, and you will need to sacrifice a curse for resists.

Congrats! It seems cerberus limb, a decent armour shield and a flask of warding has meant that there is now at least a viable alternative to this superb shield, so the cost has come down slightly from last league.
It will synergise well with the tri curse occultist builds, and I cannot recommend highly enough how pleasant it is to run lots of projectiles, with projectile weakness, enfeeble and temporal chains. Atziris reflection synergises perfectly with heretics veil and occultist ascendencies.
How are you summoning your Spectres??
My incredible tanky and (still) fast version
Hi, I started with your build, and its really good. Please try to read this, I know my english is not so good, but I made some good changes:

I have a Baron with +24% allres to zombies, so I can use Puppet Master ascendancy, instead of Commander of Darkness. Its incredible good damage buff, and movement speed buff (20%) for minions. After that, I changed my Queen's for Montregul and a shield.

For maps: minion damage, melee p., brutality, faster attacks, minion speed
For strong bosses:I change the minion speed for minion life(24->38k+ life! its really effective bc Montregul) -> this is the key for this changes, with Queen's you cant earn this life number for bosses. (and you can switch the melee gem too, to lvl4 empower, for 43k+ life, and losing only a bit of damage) -its incredible, you can test it with a twinked colosseum map with +boss damage mods(an example, becouse 2 colosseum bosses deal usually more damage, than t16 bosses), 23k life zombies can die, but never die with 42k life, with high allres and regen, and they can killing bosses fast. + you can use desecrate + flesh offering too, if you want to maximize your damage output in multiplayer, or maybe vs. Shaper.

Skill tree changes: I'm using rightous army and redemption nodes now(left side nodes), with grave intentions. 1 spectre and 10 skeletons are enough, and my minions have +10% movement speed from redemption node, and this is important with this changes(edit: not so important with + movement speed jewels or rings), bc I don't use Queen's Escape. My slower and much stronger zombies, with tons of life, have now 74% increased movement speed, and its really good. (puppet master + redemption node = +30% movement speed)

I like the faster attacks gem, becouse it allows faster clear speed on maps, and its good with minion taunt/blind jewels to. Multistrike is not so good for maps.
Fast and strong zombies for life leech, and they really never die! Its important, becouse constant life leech. With these changes, desecrate and flesh offering are usable too, at bosses, or for more damage in multiplayer.

I can make 11k life, and its can be as good as life+ES build variations, with belly+blood of the carui combo, and with 43k+ life(still alive) zombies for constant life leech bc baron. I have 6200 armour now.

Really thank you for this build, I dont had too much time for planning, and you helped me a lot. Your original build is great too, and I'm really happy with my tanky version now. It's really a boss killer, and still good in clear speed, becouse ascendancy and node changes. Not the fastest version, but incredible strong.

The only weakness is the physical reflect map mod.

Don't know why, but this is probably the weakest feeling minion build I've ever made. I switched to this at level 64 and I can't even complete a T1 map. Using arc does more damage than my zombies or skeletons do.

I have all the items in the guide with the exception of seven league steps.

My gems are slightly under-leveled due to switching at a later time, but they're still reasonable.

My skeletons die usually before they can even get a swing off and my zombies don't last much longer.

No idea what I did wrong, been a few leagues since I made a minion build, but still.

Don't use level 16 minion gems, buy level 20 gems asap. Its the most important part for upgrade your character. I kill twinked t15 bosses, and t16 bosses incredible fast with my minions, so dont give up with this build!:)

The author recommends leveling with this build, so it falls to reason that level 20 gems should not be necessary to complete a T1 map. It just feels silly that I can clear a map with ease using a level 14 arc, with a minion focused skill tree, while my minions can't clear it on their own.

Leveling was incredible easy with this build. (and I played cyclone, totems, guardian rf, leveling was harder with all, than with this build)
If you have 75-76% allres, low tier maps must be easy with this build.

Maybe I found why your minions die: you did a map with reflected physical damage mode!(I'm sure 90%) That is the only mode, what is really annoying with this build, the only.

Nope. My skeletons and zombies both die within seconds of being raised in a white (ie, no reflect possible) map, t1. I don't remember minions being this fragile.

They are certainly not level 20, but most gems would not be anything close to this when you first hit maps. In fact, you can't even use a level 20 raise zombies until level 70.

I did purchase all the required items and I even started with 2 5 links.

I am really bad at poe and i killed shaper with this build.
I feel your pain, @Randomsanity - still I think you are not telling us the whole truth.

Do the labs, get lvl 20 gems and the game is a breeze.
