I can't seem to get the changes to Multi-Trap & Cluster Trap supports clear in my head. What's all this business about "stockpiling cooldowns"? Evedently you now can't throw more than 1 trap at a time unless you have cooldowns stockpiled. WTF? Does this mean Multi and Cluster are now worthless/unusable? and if they're usable, how the hell do you stockpile cooldowns (what does that even mean?) Who cares if you can have 15 traps on the ground at one time if you can only throw 1 trap at a time ???

Oh well, I guess if I want a cold trap I'll be using anything other than the base spammable Ice Trap and use something like Cold Snap instead.
But I'm trying Bladefall trap first, if Bladefall doesn't work out or afterwards I'll do Fire Trap or something... then MAYBE Arc Trap... And by then it'll hopefully be the next league and they will announce an Ice Trap buff. |

So, by default you can 3 charges/stocks for traps that have a cool-down.
Before, 1 toss or use of the skill was 1 charge/stock. So with Multi/Cluster Trap 1 toss would throw 3-4 traps, but still only consume 1 stock/charge. NOW each trap is 1 charge/stock, not how many times you use the skill. So if you throw a single trap, it uses 1 charge/stock. If you support with Multi, you throw 3 traps for 3 charges/stocks. With Cluster, you'll attempt to throw 4 traps, only have a 3 charges/stocks, so only 3 traps will be thrown. This change seems to be made with the intention that you use Multi/Cluster more with the traps that have no cool-down (Fire Trap, Lightning Trap, Explosive Trap, and Trap Support). Whereas the traps that have a cool-down and stock system (Flamethrower, Lightning Spire, Siphoning, etc) you just toss them as a single trap. |

" I wonder if this completely destroys mirror,blink arrow trapping. This set-up to my knowledge was never game breaking and took far more effort to set up to begin with. I'm hoping I'm wrong... But certain builds could have anywhere from 12 minions to 70 minions out at once (the higher the number the weaker they generally are). Doesn't also help that most trap cooldown sources were nerfed. " You have to keep in mind that the cool-down and charge system doesn't apply for Trap Support anymore. So any skill supported by Trap Support will not have a cool-down or use this charge system. The only thing limiting you is the max number of traps you can have out at once, assuming none have triggered yet. That's 15 by default + 3 from tree + 3 from Multi + 5 from Cluster. So 18 max alone, 21 with Multi, 23 with Cluster, and finally 26 with both Multi and Cluster. That's just how many traps can be out at a time and not triggered... I don't even know if you can get enough trap throwing speed to achieve that. |
