Yeah, if you're worried about Skeletons dying it makes much more sense to use Vitality instead Purity of Fire.

Even if you managed a Lv. 23 Purity of Fire with 40% aura effectiveness you're only reducing the degen from Earendel's by 1.3%~ whereas even a non-boosted Vitality is going to increase your regen by 1.7%~.

That being said if we're looking for a defensive property on a Watcher's Eye the 'Phasing while affected by Haste' is, in my opinion, a much impactful defensive & offensive bonus for general mapping.

Also something to note; a helmet with +2/3 to Minion Gems, Essence of Horror & Supported by Lv. 16-20 Minion Damage is just straight better than a 6L chest...
Even moreso if you manage to get Supported by Lv. 16-20 Immolate.
