First, she asked that if she made some mistakes that we let her know. Maybe that was not a mistake, maybe she just forgot (or maybe my way of thinking is wrong), but I still said it, and its up to her to decide if she will add it or not to that section.

And about that part 'it's one day after patch notes'.... yes its one day after patch notes, but also 1 day BEFORE league starts.

The leveling section itself is only a guideline and not a must....the passive tree will stay the same more or less (And in the worst case you'll have to respecc 5-6 passive points)

Generally you can use the offering you prefere or you need in the current situation.

Bone Offering = Minion Defense + life regen

Flesh Offering = More minion attack, cast & movespeed

Means if your minions die a lot, take Bone Offering....if they're doing fine, take flesh offering.

Bone offering is recommended during Act 1-10, later with enough minion life you go for Flesh offering for more damage.

Means you play with Bone Offering in you active weapon and level Flesh Offfering at the same time in the weapon swap.

I never played Summoner before, if I don't coun't that I leveled one to act 8 in last 2 days using different guide (King of all summoners topic) with all 3 zombies-skeletons-spectres. (for me, as a summoner newb, it feels slower using SRS because I have to stand in place to spam them. Maybe skeletons are not useful anymore for 3.11 leveling (I don't know, I'm a summoner newb, thats why I'm trying to figureout things early before league starts). This is a 3rd summoner guide that I switched to, while trying to find what could be the best and most easy for later fast farming, for a newb like me.

So guys, if you can help me with some suggestions (like you just did CroDanZ) I apreciate it. If you can't help, just chill. OK? :)

Dont worry, was not an attack in your direction....just wanted to mention it if you expect a answere only by the TE (ye they're people out there who are upset if other people help them with the question and not the TE itself). ^^

This is a 3rd summoner guide that I switched to, while trying to find what could be the best and most easy for later fast farming, for a newb like me.

Thats the purpose of the campaign....to find out what suits you the best.

You can take the campaign as a tutorial.

Simply take all minion skills + supports, put them into a socket to level them simultaniosly and try every act another skill.

This way you can find out what you like the most and level it towards the endgame. ;)

So SRS is not yours....try Skeletons than (Later you can even go with mage Skeletons).

Or do u want a Zombie Army bcs you like theyr behavior.....u have to go the Zombie way (Baron + stack Strenght).

Or do u want a Golem Army, ye its also possible (A bit more expensive tho and not recommended as starter)

etc...

As a beginner dont rush the campaign....read all the gems, test them out, find out what you like the most and as soon as you find your prefered combination google for the guide (I think theres a guide for every minion combination out there :) )

But with Spectres u cant go wrong.....Dont worry about most of the thing in the guide and simply level till maps.
Most of the things will be selfexplained anyway as soon as you reach maps and gear your character for endgame. ;)

Bcs the offerings I already mentioned everything in the post above...hope this helped u a bit. ;)

PS: Harvest League starts tomorrow...so if you want to play the league thematic you will have to make a new character anyway.

Take this time to test around stuff with your non-season character, so you're prepared for tomorrow and know what minons you prefere. ;)

I have to ask. There said that i have to speak vertina to get sentries so after speak do i have to move back and try get sentries or what?

It means that not all of the maps that are influenced by her will spawn the sentries/knights. Sometimes on those maps though, she will appear in a portal and say something. It's those maps now that will spawn the sentries/knights, and when that happens, now you can search for their corpses and summon them.

Well.. Never advice a novice to try out different stuff during leveling. Never.

There are several reasons why a novice should follow the guide and not invent the wheel once again:

First of all, the lack of ”mechanical” knowledge - A novice will have poor knowledge of interactions between gems, gear, passives. For example SRS will feel better with an elemental approach while skellies and zombies with a physical early on but elemental in lategame. Not knowing the efficient setups will lead to wrong conclusions about the skill. If the novice is up to experiments and trying new skills, starting a new character and salvaging the old one is a better way to do so, again, following a guide that will explain how to do it.

Second is the lack of flow, that results from the first argument. Not knowing how certain things interact will lead to not knowing how to progress with the skill tree, what gems to take, where to buy the gems and so on. The progress will be not only slow, but also very difficult. (only reading the descriptions may be not enough, as you can see there is a point about Elemental Equilibrium in FaQ of this guide proof that a pretty obvious passive and interaction for a veteran is out of sense for a novice)

Third, it is fine to dive blindly into the game and try out a few things by yourself, to tackle the game story, the gameplay, to watch some videos, read some guides, but once you decided to play a build posted as a guide, especially if it has a leveling section and you are brand new to the game, follow the guide closely, if something does not make sense for you, ask questions, search the wiki and so on, up to the point when you have good understanding of how the build works, and why a particular leveling process was designed.
Once you reached the point of understanding, feel free to experiment with the build and leveling, or even, try to make your own build.

It is important to understand that guides are created to guide (and i am speaking about guides with leveling section). The whole purpose of that section is to give the novice the best impression and experience. To introduce to a certain game mechanic and gameplay and to lead you from a naked exile on he beach to a powerful Atlas explorer.

Because I read here and there ”The guide is sht, i leveled with *something else, out of the guide* and it did not work!” or ”Good build but i tried to level in my own way and i failed, so bad guide” or ”Oh, i followed a comment's guideline for leveling, why do i need so many regrets to fix my tree?" and many more examples. This angers me a bit and i always ask: "why did you not follow the GUIDE!?", "because i was told i can try and experiment" will be their answer 90% of the time.

Ye thats true....didn't think about that. :)

I Will follow this guide again, i started playing serious PoE with it and was great, and it looks great for Harvest!!

I suppose we have to drop now armaggedon Brand+flame dash, but that is my really preferred movement skill, so probably ill stick with Slave Drivers, or its much more damage with fire?

I made a big change from previous verison of the guide, so the EE in leveling is actually outdated. Thanks for finding it. I don't recommend using EE until you reach maps.

I will updated the levelling guide to take it out!

Maybe we can use the new Wintertide Brand that is cold to proc EE. It will depend on which act we will be able to take this gem.

What spectre is the strongest for leveling? Cannibal fire eater or flame sentinel? Havent use either one yet.

I cannot see new leveling Passive tree, am I blind or will that come in time?
