Note that 2 changes in the tree are not immediately apparent:
1. 5th endurance charge from tree to try and take advantage of IC + Arakali. Will know soon if it works.
2. Another 7% block. Less valuable if you are not using Rumi's - on standard though this takes me to 72% block for nearly free and is a lot of attack mitigation.

I don't think these changes make sense if the 5th endurance charge does not trigger Arakali.

I am also not sure if the 5% reduced damage taken from Unbreakable is additive with the IC reduction. If it is, we would not even need that 5th charge: 35% base, 60% from 4 charges, and 5% from Unbreakable should stop the physical DOT.

Tree difference by taking the Str / Str% cluster and 5th endurance charge:

I just restored my HoWA jugg and did Chimera to get my atlas back.

Basically everything felt similar, though in my case I use Cyclone which now plays better in several ways. On a T16 map with several mods, Cyclone by itself was killing most trash in one pass, so I did not have to stop to use Blade Flurry too often.

Chimera seemed a little faster than normal, probably because in the intervals in which I switched to Cyclone I was getting a little more damage.

Anyway, if Blade Flurry got nerfed at all, it didn't seem too bad.

Has somebody gone ahead and tested other skills to replace MS?

Is Blade Flurry the best bet?

Cyclone, Lightning Strike, Reave, Spectral Throw all seem like options?

I tried Blade Flurry, Cyclone, and Reave so far.

Blade Flurry: dps feels like about half of old MS dps, with clunkier targeting and clear. It's workable, but not a fan of it.

Cyclone: AOE is too small with the base claw range.

Reave: Viable, and full-screen AOE. DPS feels lower than BF for single target, but was still fine in Delve 550 or so.

I think Reave is the go-to for anything short of Uber Elder / Delve, and BF likely the go-to for those. I've not yet tried ST, as that would require me to respec for projectile.

I like lightning strike more then bf, I don't think any of the skill will come close to ms single target wise,clear speed with lightning strike is similar to ms.

Reave clear speed is incredible so far, even in Delve 550. AOE with 8 stacks goes beyond the screen edges. Far better than MS. Only single target is the issue, as usual.

When Howa was first released I remember doing Raider Spectral Throw and the single target is some of the highest I've ever achieved in this game.

You swap out GMP for Slower Proj. It's insane.

OK I did a bunch of Guardians on Standard tonight. I tried out every Claw skill.

I used this POB that is optimized for Blade Flurry: https://pastebin.com/e3iM85D0

Cyclone was okay, I didn't find the radius too small, I felt pretty slow and think It could be optimized further.

Lightning Strike got me the most excited, seems like it might be the winner if the tree and links were optimized for it, Single Target was okay, clear felt amazing.

Wild Strike/Frost Blades felt good on both fronts.

Spectral Throw felt like it had the strongest single target but clear was shitty.

I don't like Blade Flurry, Charged Dash or any of the other Strike Skills.

1) Spectral Throw > GMP/Slower Proj > EDWA > DOFL > Ele Focus > Point Blank

2) Cyclone > Conc/AOE > EDWA > DOFL > Ele Focus > Infused Chanelling

3) Frost Blades > Ruthless(?)/Ancestral Call > EDWA > DOFL > Ele Focus > Point Blank

4) Lightning Strike > Ruthless(?)/Ancestral Call > Multistrike > EDWA > DOFL > Ele Focus

5) Wild Strike > Ruthless(?)/Ancestral Call > Multistrike > EDWA > DOFL > Ele Focus

I think next steps would be to have a tree planned out for the projectile skills (Spectral Throw, Frost Blades), the Strike Skills (Lightning Strike, Wild Strike) and Cyclone and compare them from there.

These are the 5 to go with though.
