[3.6] Immortal Blade Flurry Assassin - Face-tank All Content - [CAN BE DONE ON BUDGET!] - 1 MIL+ DPS
" The guide is pretty long so it is possible that you missed it in the block of text. We are a critical based build and these ailments trigger if you perform a critical strike. All we have to do is grab an item that has some flat elemental damage and we are going to be set. The best spot to find added flat elemental damage is on abyss jewels. As long as you even have 1 cold damage, you are able to chill/freeze enemies on critical strike. We already have shock because we have Wrath running. You can also get some added fire damage to also ignite if you want too. This is why we run Hypothermia Support. We have over 50% chance to chill, freeze, ignite and shock because we are pure crit. Stacking all of these ailments just increases our DPS to higher levels. My belt's abyss jewel has added cold damage so it enables us to chill/freeze enemies on critical strike. Hopefully that helps. If you have any other questions, let me know. :) Cheers! *Want to try out some fun hipster builds? acrobatics reduces 50% of your total armour? is it still good? because iron reflexes

" Acrobatics/Phase Acrobatics are easily some of the best defensive nodes in the whole game. Because we grab Unwavering Stance, we want any other defensive options available that we can get. Unwavering Stance is insanely important for this build because we are face-tanking. We do not want to get stunned or frozen because that will stop our face-tanking. We want to always keep up instant leech as much and as long as we can. Unwavering Stance makes it so we cannot evade though for the trade off, which is why we grab Acrobatics and Phase Acrobatics. We are a Shadow/Assassin which starts on the right side of the skill tree where there are a lot of dexterity and evasion nodes. Since we cannot evade anymore due to Unwavering Stance, all of that dex and evasion is useless. To put it to use, we use Iron Reflexes so it isn't totally a waste. Obviously our armor is already halved because of Acrobatics, but we still get some benefit from it. It's better than leaving all of that potential evasion just sitting there. Plus, we get the jewel socket by the Iron Reflexes node which helps this build out greatly too. *Want to try out some fun hipster builds? What do you think ?
" Not too bad, but there can definitely be a lot more upgrades to make the build really shine. For example, grabbing a pair of Tombfist gloves will really help the DPS of the build. Intimidate really gives you a good chunk of damage. Of course, this can still be played with rares which I did at first too. If you can't afford Tombfist or some of the uniques I run in my build, then at least try to get your rares with higher mod rolls like more life and resists. Just spend time upgrading your gear and your gameplay will feel even smoother. Let me know if you need anything else. :) *Want to try out some fun hipster builds? Check out my thread below!*

" Yeah i will definitely try to get good tombfist. Thanks a lot !
" Try to get more critical strike multiplier and more life on the jewels too. That will really bring out the DPS for the build too. Good luck! *Want to try out some fun hipster builds? Check out my thread below!*

I can only afford one socket tombfist, i should go for intimidate right ? Also when you have double socket tombfist do you drop maim support from your 6link ?
| |
" It is totally okay with running a one socket Tombfist too. The main thing you want to get is the Intimidate with the Murderous Eye Jewel. If you do go the two socket route and put a Searching Eye Jewel to get Maim, you would still keep the Maim Support gem in your link. Reason being is because Tombfist's Maim is just to reduce their movement speed by 30%. Granted, the Maim Support gem also does this, but it only gives a 30% chance of maiming the target. With Tombfist, it is 100%. The Maim Support gem isn't really for the maiming ability, but more so for the actual boost in DPS. Maim Support grants us more physical damage. The maim debuff in general only reduces their movement speed. Technically, if you get a two socket Tombfist, you don't really need to socket in a Searching Eye Jewel since we already can apply Maim. Only reason why I did was because I had a decent Searching Eye Jewel to use. Feel free to socket any other abyssal jewel to fill in life, resists and crit multi. This seems like an awesome build and am trying it out. I know you hit on the fact that you don't start your builds until about level 70 - can you please direct us to a good starter/leveling build? Or provide details on how you level? Thanks!
I'm doing ok, but got crushed in the normal lab :( |
