If you have all the memory frags and your questline says 'Lure the elder to the center of the atlas' then you should just spam high tier maps to try and get elder influence around the guardians. Eventually you should see shaper influence on the center (when the shaper background appears over the center of the atlas), from then onwards it is pretty straightforward. Do the guardians, elder spawns over shaper, do elder guardians, and you're ready.

Getting Shaper influence over the center is the annoying part, it took me a while, I'm not sure if there's any trick to getting it faster.

It probably better to just buy it and craft the enchanted base.

You don't get it, I figured out the system how to summon uber elder.
Is not given to me to kill him, simply can not survive any attack, any hit that half HP and just kills me. I can't Dodge everything, and if I do, I don't do damage.
And would I be able to make fossile both the enchantment and the penetration of fire?

You should be avoiding all of shaper's attacks and most of elder's attacks. I don't really have any other advice to give, maybe you need more practice? Cause you should be able to do it deathless given your gear.

Yes, you can use enchanted fossils to get a random lab enchant and scorched to get the fire pen. BUT that's not what I meant. I meant buy a helmet base with the enchant already there and then fossil craft it for the fire pen. Fossil crafting it doesn't remove the enchantment.

lvl 90 chieftain here, and I cant kill red tier elder. I have 8k life and his tentacles beat me to a pulp. On Builder I have like 130-150k elder dps.

I was running Moon Presence + Enfeeble, and then switched to Ramako + haste. And its still about the same.

Ive also tried on a dual Nebulock Jugg with consecrated path with less success.

I have tried 4 times now, but this is my 1st crack at Elder overall.

You're not supposed to be facetank everything. There is NO way you should be dying to red elder at all with 8k life.

Idk what guide you're following (if any at all), but its definitely not mine. Your character is vastly different from mine. Trees, gear, flasks, gem links, everything. So, I can't really comment on your pob dps, since i'd have to take into account gmp. Because of the difference in builds, I can't really tell if your setup is at fault or your mechanical skill.

Ive tried facetanking, and moving around but each hit gets me for half my life. Also, if ive touch the spawns' degen, and get shocked, an ice spear might end me.


I am assuming thats its a combo of low dps and me messing up the fight though. This is my own build, and I was just curious what another chieftain thought.

I think so. It's possible that your dps and attack speed is so low that you don't phase them soon enough and it gets harder, the longer the fight goes on.

Been following this guide and having a blast. Finally had an Exalted Orb drop... any advice on what I could use it for to upgrade as a priority? Obviously everything could do with an upgrade, I'm just not sure which should be the priority... but I'm thinking 6L chest. Can't afford a Loreweave though, as that's worth 2 Ex.

I need to see your gear to say that, idk what you have right now. Your profile isn't public.

My bad, it should be public now. My gear is pretty basic as you'll see, but I haven't been playing all that long this league (L79). Thanks for any advice.
