I have tried both of your other builds in the previous league as it was the first time I picked up PoE. They both worked fantastically!! I'm excited to try something different for this league and try to actually clear everything this time (I'm super casual). Thanks for the quick update!!

Hope this is as newbie friendly as zombies and vortex haha
I love your nameBipolarBear21,

I'm glad you liked the previous builds! I'll have the Vortex build done hopefully tonight.

This build is a little more intense than the other two as the primary skill constantly eats up your health. So check out the section for new folk as there are some good tips in there for making it easy.

There are some different mechanics to this build than the other two so if you can't find any answers in the guide, feel free to ask whatever you like!

Thanks for the kind words!

When will you put up the Skill tree for this build? sounds good.
Thanks Darcloud!

The Passive Tree is up. Just the link is not. So you can use the Path of Building Pastebin or look at the picture (let me know if it's too hard to see.)

The links to the pathofexile.com passive tree won't work until the league is actually released. So I have to wait until 3.7's release for the actual link to be available.

Skill tree is in the Path of Building (PoB) link. Once I get on my PC I'll link a browser one.

I gotchu.

I would like to start RF this season and your build really interested me the way you explain everything.

I have looked at other RF standard builds and the aura of the fire is much bigger than the one in your videos. What is the difference?

Can I skip the totem gem and go pure RF?

The area of RF can be increased with gear/gems/passives. This guide focuses more on survivability since it's meant to use cheap rare items. If you get good gear you can spend points that were in suvivability and use them in area or dmg.

You can go just RF but the dmg will suffer. Check and cross-reference some other RF guides to see what needs to be changed so that RF will have more dmg
Hey ClassicEnergy,

This is the 3.7 thread. MaxHax2 answered well. in 3.6 I ignored AoE size and went straight for damage. In 3.7 I focused heavily on AoE as it's my preference. I did lots of testing in 3.6 for this 3.7 build and I love it. 3.6 had Concentrated Effect linked which decreased AoE. It's been replaced with Increased Area of Effect :) and AoE nodes on the tree too.

Like MaxHax2 said, you have to build pretty different if you want to go pure RF. But you could easily take this build and do it. There are just other ways to maximize a pure RF build (with tree and ascenancy choices.)

Let me know if there's anything else!

Do you think this will work fine with 3.7 - I would like to play this with the upcoming season.

I like the idea of relaxed and safe leveling and I want to enjoy the content because when I stopped playing it was only 3 acts. :)

Hey TheLuckyOne,

It's been a while since 3 acts ;). This is the thread for the 3.7 version of the guide. It's good to go and I've tried to make it as relaxing as possible. RF isn't the most relaxing skill to level with, but you have your totems for damage and life regen if sustaining RF is too stressful. (It takes a lot of investment to sustain RF. You may not be able to sustain it until you're around level 50.) It's a very relaxing build once sustaining RF isn't an issue.

Hello, I really like your build guides! I did your vortex guide for synthesis event and I liked it very much. I had a question about the CwDT gem setup that has the golem, relic, and molten shell. Is the plan to level all these up to 20? Thank you for updating this to 3.7.

Level all these gems to their max (level 20) unless I have written a level number beside the gem name. For example: "Cast when Damage Taken (Level 1)". If I have written a level beside the name, that's the level you need to stop leveling the gem at.

I think leveling it up to 20 will be good for that 103 hp regen every time you hit with consecrated path.

Just out of curiosity while building this up - Is there any leveling method you have found better than others? I generally just grab some melee weapons and spam something flashy till I can use RF

Hey zeaol,

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you very much for taking the time to say so. Cradoc is correct. The gems get leveled all the way. We want those three skills at their highest level.

And you're very welcome. I hope you enjoy it!

Hey fearthebowtie ,

This will be a league where everyone is learning that together :). All the melee skills have changed. So I'd just take what you like and go. I normally just use the skills of the build because I like to see how the build progresses. Holy Flame totem isn't very fast until it gets Multiple Totem Support (at 38). I used to suggest Sunder to those who didn't like to use HFT...but I'll bet that all melee skills are now viable at the beginning of the game (less dependant on weapon stats). Does that help?
