I’m not DocRoberts, but I consider that personal preference. You’ll get considerably less damage, but considerably more clear speed. I did this for most of 3.8, only swapping for some bosses and Blighted maps.

Thanks! I struggle with blighted maps so I'll give it a shot w/feeding frenzy and see if i can feel an improvement.

My gear at the moment :



Next upgrades on my list :
- another enchant on the helmet
- (white socket on my boots for an easier haste/pride switch)
- headhunter for the lulz
- 21/20 gems


I most likely won't go for -mana cost on rings because i like the extra chaos res i have on them and i'm fine with the mana potion.
I like the extra int/dext on the astramentis so i will keep this amulet.
I got bad results with the exalts i used on my belt so i might try to craft a new one.


Few thoughts about the build
- while everything is doable with a 6L femur, the crafted weapon is a huge improvment. It took me ~12k alt and i failed 15-20 regal opportunities (i mean i didn't see i had a good mod and rerolled too fast...)
- can facetank shaper, elder... but you have to be careful against fully juiced metamorphes !

finally finished this thing.
Took me about 6 exalts of alts, so around 6k alts, plus 2exalts to clear the suffix.

I was not expecting to get it at all on the budget i had (40ex) so it was a nice surprise.
Dont try to do it on a staff unless you're addicted to alting things like me

I couldn't find a low ILVL elder staff for sale, so i had to farm one.
i spammed T1 maps with Elder scarab and fully rolled + quad sextant with bloodlines mod to get it

I have 90ex to improve my gear, give me ideas, and no i dont want awakened multistrike or an amulet that isnt astramentis

I feel much much stronger now (tho it costed alot)
