Hello,
We spoke a bit on reddit about your build and thank you for that. I'm coming back here because I'm a bit lost. I just 6 linked my shavronne and tried to get it to 3 blue 3 green but somehow it ended up being 3 green 1 red 2 blue. I realised that was the icicle mine requirements so I switched to it from BL because why not. I'm now trying to get some lightning damage on my gear to proc EE. Speaking of EE I'm confused about the ascendancy choices. You don't seem to have what you recommend, should I copy your char or the guide (might be outdated on this part)? When do you take Born in the Shadows? Now that I freeze mobs I feel like I can live without but on POB it seems to be a DPS loss not to take it. Might be wrong I'm no POB master. Outside of that and getting an empower lvl 4 how do you get more damage for Icicle mines? I think my weapon sucks (character is Keroca) and I don't have the unique gloves (which shouldn't get more damage but survivability if I understood correctly). I'm struggling to understand what weapon to get for this build that would be massively better than mine. Maybe ele pen? If you have any other tips regarding my character that'd be awesome. As I wrote on reddit, and as I'll gladly write here again. Thanks a lot for your guide and all the answers you make, I've been watching your videos and reading through some pages of this guide and you've always been really helpful. Thanks. Edit : I forgot something about the enchant on helm. I caught a Necromancer Circlet (I know not best base) with Icicle mine throwing speed ilvl 83. What fossils do you use to craft it? Dense + frigid? or more? Ideally I'd like to have some strength and fire res on it but I might go through without. " 1. Empower 3 is really bad, use inspiration or cold pen instead. At the top end gear wise Empower 4 is one of the best, but with middle tier gear it isnt great. 2. On the weapon you ideally want +1 cold spell gems 3. EE stands for elemental equilibrium, which we dont use. For explosive experts, you only need fire damage though as Skitterbots apply the other two. 4. Icicle always takes born in shadows as it doesnt benefit from demo specialist (already max crit chance w/ diamond). GC and BL will want demo though. |

So, there are quite a few nice additions for the build in terms of general power, but the trap and mine jewels are a bit lack luster. I would suggest an aura jewel and a flat ES jewel like the ones I link below.
You can experiment with some of the large jewels and trap and mine jewels, but crit and mine damage is already hyper efficient on the tree and doesnt require much travel. I havent been able to find a way to use them without losing dps or losing a ton of EHP. If you have found a good way to drop some trap or mine nodes, lmk in the guide. |
