Great build man, keep it up. Playing it right now and really enjoying my time with it. Was really lucky with crafting good shield and crushing endgame. My shield:

I've been having a blast with this build but I don't know what to upgrade next. I'm already doing t16's comfortably but I'd like more damage and defences.

Can you take a look at my PoB and tell me what to focus on next? I know for sure I need to change my rings pronto.

Not sure what your budget is, but there are multiple roads to scale.
You can start transitioning to either the 1st or 2nd optional late-game tree in the POB (although, the end-game in 3.17 HAS been cleared, with merely the basic alira tree).
You can, if your budget allows, get stuff like bottled faith that will allow you to instant-rip a majority of end-game bosses.
You're missing a big chunk of damage by not having the 1-160 lightning enchant in your boots(its like 7-10% in pob).
You're missing 220es from no quality in ur amulet.
Your belt needs to be crafted with dense, get a decent amount of es/raw-es and armor (all defense tags).

There's multiple choices you can make:) Hf

Nice gz:)
I crafted this tonight with 30 dense, also crafted another which had 260ish, sold for 160chaos. Dense are super cheap at 0.5c and it's quite often you'll hit something useful within your first 30-50 dense.

May I also ask you why do you have cold and fire damage in rings? Isn't that like a waste of mod? Do we need fire or cold damage in this build?

To gain all buffs from having explosives expert ascendancy point.

Spoiler
I was getting run over in T15s at first, mostly because of the impatience of throwing traps into a pack and running in before it pops, and not having the ES on block proc enough for that particular pack.

I agree with one of the earlier comments that relying on the ES on block before you get a high block chance shield feels a little dicey, and either your strategy of using Crown or some other sources of armor/phys reduction are important (my enchant is on a Hubris, so no luck there, yet). Once I got enough damage (6L with awakened added lightning, pretty meh weapon), I actually swapped out Wrath for Determination + a couple of armor affixes, supporting the strength req with the mastery on the Attribute wheel we take. Boss killing is a bit slower, sure, but clear is still totally fine in red maps, and I feel WAYY better defensively. Haven't died since.

Will swap back once an adequate attack block shield comes into play, or I might quickly experiment with Glancing + Divine Shield on a thread of hope to see if I even need to invest heavily into block on the tree or Rumi's. Once our max ES is high enough, all we really need is a medium amount of consistent mitigation since our methods of sustain are so robust.

So for anyone who feels their damage is good but they melt to big packs, if your shield doesn't have high block chance, consider finding a way to sneak in some armor until you get that sorted out - a little bit can go a long way. We basically have 7L damage with Pain Attunement, so we can afford to sacrifice a little bit of damage here and there to bump up our survivability.

Just my 2c. Love the build, I've run it a few times now, but this is the first time since Sirus first came out.

Glad to see you're using one of the biggest strengths of the build - the diversity. We have a lot of self-sustained aura's and there's absolutely nothing wrong with customizing them as you go, to better suit what you feel you need at a given time.

Enjoy the league m8

I've got a couple upgrades. These should be fine right?

I'm at 7.3k es now but I would a love a bit more damage but I guess most of that can come from levels and getting the crit multipliers.

i need a lot of help here. 1st time playing Ci ES saboteur or whatever u wanna call it and its extremely frustrating to the point that i feel like quitting/re-spec this character cause i keep getting 1-hit-KO in magical white maps by magical quick / fast attack mobs. yes, damn funny but it's real although i'm level 77 dying in lvl 70 map.

i've meticulously followed the author's POB guide (aka Level 100 Alira Basic) point for point (especially the priorities he listed on his personal website), besides the 4 skill points below pain attunement (which he mentioned its optional for leveling i believe), alacrity and physique (cos i'm poor AF and require the stats to wear the gear).

my stats:
1616 life
3635 ES
75% MAX resist each for fire, cold and lightn
done 2 labs and added pyro and perfect crime
heck, i even went as far to check that i could equip every possible gem and gear that the author recommended (YES to defiance banner, discipline, wrath, skitterbots, tempest shield, clarity)

im starting to have real doubts that either this build or saboteur is shit without any form of physical dmg reduction from armor or evade from evasion rating.

my gear's below and my profile is NOT private:
thank you to whoever answers or helps me.

Hello,

Thanks for a great build I've managed to get some good dps but I've got problem with survival. I don't feel comfortablerunning red maps. I know I miss block, how can I get more?

Managed to outcraft Your shield in terms of ES:) Betrayal is OP.
Managed to corrupt shavs for this build.
I don't even play it T_T

Will trade for any +2 AoE +2 Duration or +2 AoE/+2 Duration and +socketed gems.

Your sockets are kinda a mess, there's no excuse to be running two sockets in most of your items and only a 4L for your damage when you start mapping. You're missing out on CWDT Immortal Call, for example.

You also have no pierce as far as I can see, socket a Poacher's Aim into your tree at the very least.

Before you get immunity to stun from Presence of Chayula, make sure to run Brine King in pantheon to avoid being stunlocked to death by fast groups.

But, most importantly, you should fit in a bit more ES and take CI and Zealot's Oath so you don't die to a light breeze if it's chaos damage. Your only survivability at this point comes from the fact that your ES recovers very fast when you give it a chance to, so you kinda have to power through it by playing carefully and staying on your toes.

Then as you save up some currency you can get upgrades:

Crown of the Inward Eye is very cheap at this point (though with the pierce enchant it'd cost you about 1ex) and it gives you nice armor, ES and some extra damage.

Rumi's Concotion for some extra block

Shaper influence shield with %ES on block is very important, you can buy a Harmonic base for a few c and then spam dense fossils on it until you get a decent rolls, shouldn't take more than 50c overall barring a stroke of bad luck. Keep in mind the amount of ES you have on your shield is also very important because of the nodes that increase ES gained from your shield slot by a lot.

You should be able to get in the 6-7k ES range with inexpensive upgrades, at which point it's easy to survive most things in red maps if you have the shaper shield. From there you can either grab a 5L Shavronne's (harvest for linking 5 sockets is pretty common, so you could buy any with enough sockets and link it yourself) so you can switch to lowlife and enjoy things like Pain Attunement, more auras and Presence of Chayula, or stay on CI until you save up for a 6L
