0.10.3c Patch Notes
This is a change to the loot system that doesn't change anything for me, it actually makes it even more annoying.
Currently I seldom partied, but when I did I called out loot other people missed and usually we only picked up loot after combat was finished. That is now impossible... really great change. Just stop being so stubborn and add another loot system for those that want it instead of tinkering around an inherent annoying system for people who don't like FFA loot. " I mean, do you really want to reward player behaviour like this? If yes, just don't complain when the playerbase stays pretty hostile to each others. Its not assholish at all to pick up all the loot you can. Your party members already have an allocation timer as an advantage, so distance and latency are no longer issues as they were in past games. The entire issue here is the massive amount of players who have some kind of entitlement issue. It goes against the ARPG spirit to instance loot. Monsters die and they drop shit -- now grab it. Loot doesn't drop in wrapped boxes delicately labeled "To: this player, From: grandma" and people need go accept that FFA loot is a part of this genre.

I really like the patches you guys have been adding lately. I really think the item allocation system was creating a hostile party environment. I am all for fair play though. The only other thing I'd hope for would be a system where the whole party must be present at boss area. I think this would contribute a lot to the game and make it so people can not sneaky kill the boss.

If you are a melee tank, this is totally not a problem; but if you are a witch, there will be a consideration that should i go to get it and have a chance to die in one shot (usually the fire-blowing dog in dock), or just to leave it up. |

is that rly hard to add an option to set the type of loot in a party ? so every1 would be happy, those who want ffa and those who want it instanced....

no more magic items also good what's my biggest problem is that you can still pickup items if you hide the names , that makes moving really hard soemtimes ign: ALLRAUDER

I really like the changes, a positive improvement for me. However I still would like to see public games created with FFA or instanced loot option in the future.
