0.10.3c Patch Notes
" I really like these changes, will make playing in random partys much more comfortable BUT: " You can cut out the timer, but please leave the players name on the item! Now you can't tell which orb/item belongs to who, which sucks if you are playing with friends "There is only one God, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today." -Syrio Forel *********** HC-Only|IGN: OhneTemplerTemplar DE Wiki: de.pathofexilewiki.com Last edited by Ahrenos#7731 on Mar 19, 2013, 10:04:09 PM

" you can still keep playing it that way. just don't get items which aren't allocated to you in the first place. for items where the allocation is over and you don't know for whom it dropped just do it the same way as before as there were also plenty of items which were not assigned anymore and nobody knew whom they belonged to. "would you pay microtransaction points for the option to have instanced loot or loot names? age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" A tad yes it does.. but.. No now you are unable to call people out. and the time needs to be like 4 seconds or so not a small 2.6 which is no help since names are not on items they are not easy to spot and mark with mental note/. Last edited by grootoo#6251 on Mar 18, 2013, 9:46:25 PM

WTB Game that is fun for friends! Seriously, let me have names, or god forbid, an option that allows for names to be on or off. WHOA, options, what are those mysterious things? What do they do, allow me to play a game in a more enjoyable way? Immersion needs more than just game play (which let me add is amazingly fun in this game) and loot whoring. I play with friends because friends make games more fun. If you play solo or don't have many friends in the game I feel for you, but these changes could easily be the same for them with a simple check box "Show Player's name on loot rolls." I would even go as far to say that some better loot filters (links, sockets, colors, iLVLs) would be a great addition, but I know GGG is really worried about me not enjoying their game how I am supposed to. I have given you my money, I want to give you more, but when you are telling me that I need to play as game a certain way, I find it hard if that is not what I enjoy. Racing to loot is not my idea of fun, especially with the de-sync and lag issues already in the game, not to mention the lack of a universal move button and much more. I know that GGG has a lot of plans for the game regardless of the community, and I respect that, but this kind of change has ruined the game for me. 1 map in and I have no desire to even try to play with my friends.

Very nice changes overall; I feel the timer increase might be *little* bit too high (Went from 1.6 to 2.6+ based on distance) but I could be wrong about that, I'll have to play and see.
The changes will definitely make playing with randoms a lot better since it removes the feel of 'ninja'ing' although as others have stated it does make allocating loot with friends a bit trickier. But it's not a huge deal I guess. |

Removing the names was exactly what was needed imho. The new timers are comfortably long and if you don't manage to scoop up your loot in that time it's gone. Everybody moves on without trying to find out whose it was or who got it.
It makes for a much smoother gameplay and makes you pay attention to the loot. |

" Fixed. Great patch GGG. I do like that the names are removed, but I don't like the timer lengthened. It just feels like you are slowing giving them an inch here and there. Oh well, I trust you. To the people who are saying "What about us? We used those names to divy loot, now how are we going to say 'Hey, this had your name on it, so it's yours.' now?" Let me ask this: How did you decide, as a group, "I get this white item, you get that white item."? Do it that way. Not that hard. If you say "Why would we want white items?" ... 6S/6L/3LRGB, etc. Just a thought. Last edited by TremorAcePV#7356 on Mar 18, 2013, 9:48:54 PM

" Coming straight from the mouth of GGG, this is a big sign to me that I'm investing my time and money in the wrong game, which I find as a disappointment. I guess it might be time to move on to greener pastures. Kripp's way of handling the changes, by the way, might be actually the most effective kind of protest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a71i7zOttWQ&list=UUeBMccz-PDZf6OB4aV6a3eA&index=1). He seems intent on exploiting the new system so much that no one can deny it to be an absolute failure. Last edited by MercurialMaven#2338 on Mar 18, 2013, 9:52:55 PM

" I'm glad you figured that out. I'd rather you enjoy a game that was made for you than play one that wasn't hoping it would change. Have fun and good luck. :) Last edited by TremorAcePV#7356 on Mar 18, 2013, 9:49:57 PM
