Content Update 3.9.0 -- Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas

Why nerfing crafted items while buffing other things?
Despite some nerfs I smell powercreep again (greater supports and things like that).

I will probably play only a little till 4.0
Lioneye's Watch has been visually updated and uses our latest rendering technology.
Small preview of 4.0? I am ready:)
So, bosses will have more total defenses, we are weaker, time to kill bosses goes up increasing time to random one shot us?

Sounds like fun?
Here we go again :)
I don't get you players who says that grafting a good item is bad. If you like to play with HAYPOLE, sure you can do that. But there are most of players who like to graft better and better items and trying to enjoy the game. GGG nerfs game so often that good grafting chance is only way to play at all.
Grafting is the SALT of the hole GAME. So be slowly !!

I dont need a streamer or whoever to play the game. I dont want a dead league because most changes fucking over the casual playerbase.

Agreed!
Nerfing under powered melee as well was a stupid move.. I do not see the logic to ruin melee where it's easily the weakest build.
I long for the day overly long boss immunity phases and introductions are made obsolete. Easily one of the worst things about the game. Making the bosses harder is fine, having bosses be longer by some cheap "immune" phases isn't. It's not a challenge, it's an annoyance. Big difference.

PoE Peaked in Dec 2018. A year ago. Since then it has done nothing but slowly die.

Complete BS.

Steam charts data, avg players per month on a year basis
(avg monthly added together divided by 11months excluding december on both calculations because we dont have data yet)

Avg players per month in 2018: 23.435
Avg players per month in 2019: 23.373

that not even a 1% decline in avg. player numbers.

First off, I can't stand people that cherry pick one sentence and drop it out of context to the entire reply chain.

Secondly, don't attempt capital venture or speculative investing.

If it were possible, I'd buy 10,000 PUT contracts on GGG for this time next year.

That's the first time I'm saying this within 17 years of videogames addiction: these patch notes sound like a fucking joke, tbh.
I'm sorry, GGG
You forgot to add in new shoes

I think the nerfs are mostly well served and not ill placed.
this multi mod bullshit made it far to easy crafting around a certain mod and without any reasonable cost reaching up to a weapon which is better than stargforge for example which is supposed to be a neat thing.

trivialized bosses and shapers per second were also a thing caused by this.

Im looking forward to it.

This 100%. Rares were absolutely out of control.

It's easy to pick out the people who only want to play this as a competition with others (and cry about it when even the slightest nerf comes their way) and those who enjoy making builds around the new mechanics. It's even easier still to find the people who don't understand how the mechanics actually work, i.e. the people claiming ele hit is RIP.

One of my friends is unreasonably excited for the Lightning Warp changes. I'm looking forward to the OP AF ele hit with barrage, even with the "nerf."

Yea, the changes seem good for making rares less op and uniques more relevant. The new influence types might be strong again though; bit like crafted uniques probably.

Oh and your friend is right about the lightning warp change. But there are other neat buffs as well. Vaal burning arrow ignite scaling for instance is insanely buffed and you dont even need acc to apply it since the hit can't be evaded.
