[3.12] Brittleknee's Darkness Farmer - 200+ Depth, Fossils, Resonators, Currency - Video Included!
" Depends on what fossils you are targeting. Say its one long pathway through Fungal and Frozen, that could be really profitable since it crosses the two most profitable biomes. Also if you are deliberately looking for a mix of fossils, its not bad to run something like that. Just make sure to check your mods in both sections before you commit to it. There will be a major build update to the guide once patch notes are out. I'm just waiting to see if there are any changes to items and the passive tree. New base character will be capable of 200-1000. You can search around for a new route, but if you can't quite survive on her deeper down, the new one will easily do so. gosh its annyoing when you have found a somewhat good route and then you just get to a dead end without getting back to your crawler.
Even when its short, it happend on 3 routes now that i can't progress further unless i start the crawler and avoid the trigger circle. | |
Hello brittleknee,
Hello Guys, What you think about the Changes to Delve/Fossil's and the Solstice Vigil? It is still profitable to create this character? For the upcomming league. |
|
Will the changes (nerfs) to enduring mana flask impact the survivability of the build a lot?
| |
" Fossil changes do not nerf this build. Fossils are still the best way to control deterministic outcomes with crafting. They will still be important after people stop gnashing their teeth about the fossil-specific mods being moved around. This change affects SSF far more than trade, and realistically you would not roll this farmer in SSF anyways. The changes in Solstice Vigil do not affect this build in any regard. We only use it for the 100% reduction in Temp Chains reservation, and that was not affected. Resonators will still be in high demand, and this is a fantastic way to generate currency. " No, it won't be a significant change. Even losing the background mana recovery of the Enduring while we Tap Lavi's for high stack counts stinks, it won't be anything too noticeable. Maybe flaring at lower stacks at the most. But with all the sources of flask effect, mana flask recovery, and mana recovery rate built into the new notables, I am not concerned. I'll be updating this guide later tonight with its new loadout and updated leveling section. Check me out on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/brittleknee

Small oversight :
Section 1.2 still mentions queuing up your enduring flasks. |
|
" You still should queue them, as a majority of the time you are still going to only use the Enduring on its own. The Enduring queues will just get a bit messed up as you tap Lavi's when your stacks approach 200+. Between Pathfinder and the Mana nodes, it will be very difficult to deplete your charges of mana flasks even if you panic spam everything until you need to flare. If you're running out of Lavi's before you Flare, you're pushing it too far anyways. I'll clean up the wording a bit, but you still absolutely should queue your flasks until you get to the point you need the Lavi's. " Check me out on Twitch! http://www.twitch.tv/brittleknee

after 2 days and 20 ex wasted on gear i can assume that at depth 400-415 total income 150-180 c/ hour. There is no fossils, at the best u can get up to 10 per hour
|
|
" I think they're referring to stacking up the Enduring flask? You're def right on charges not being an issue. I ran for a few hours yesterday, and can't remember dying to bad mana management specifically, and definitely never ran out mana flasks even though I'm hitting it every 2-3 seconds sometimes. Unless you're already pushing maxish stacks, the rate of degen is slow enough to catch the Enduring flask off. I've gotten into the habit of hitting both mana flasks at the same time. " It sounds like you have a bad route and aren't picking up azurite. Fossils are not guaranteed but with a proper route at that depth you will usually encounter at least one fossil or resonator per route on average. Sometimes you won't find one, sometimes you will find multiple. At 397 last league with bad mods on my route that would occasionally kill me, 400C+/Hr was average unless I had just insane RNG with serrated fossils. There have been numerous tests by others aside from me at various depths/biomes and investments. If you're not selling the resonators, then your profits will pale in comparison to what you can pull out otherwise. Feel free to post your route if you would like further guidance.
