Dude I'm soloing act 3 merciless as an evasion cyclone duelist, progression is only a problem when I need new gear, which isn't exactly easy to get as someone who plays solo.
I'm not saying the game is too hard, I just don't want to be forced into some boring build to farm. I can't sacrifice mods for quantity and rarity, I'll just die all the time which defeats the whole purpose. Oh by boring build I mean anything ranged, I have always played melee in arpg S L O W E R

Basically I was multi logging manually, no automation, loading everything up myself, farming up alterations to make fusings to trade for gear.
I Just feel I shouldn't have to do this almost every single time I need a new piece of gear. I'd rather drop rates be adjusted accordingly. I don't want to play path of forum trading..... S L O W E R

" Have you confirmation about that? nonetheless was a question to developers. there can be not intended features that make u drop x0 quantity (that's an hypothesys) I laughed at the "grow balls". You must be that kind of player that think that he is his character :D how cute when i see these kids around. You were so concerned to your "i'm the macho" attitude, that you miss to grasp the game mechanics. I can't stop my totems to attack. If i get in life danger zone, and i'm about to die, i have to relocate fast, that means even exiting the room if there is no safe spot around to heal back. That implies that my totems are still in the room and they land kills. The questions (which i have tried to make as clear as possible) implies that in such situations dual totemers (which can't life leech to heal back) have an hard time staying in front of the mobs. Sometime you can do it, sometime you can't do it and MUST play by distance. it' the dual totem style. Never complained about that, it has its advantages and disadvantages. Adding to that there is Spark, which can land kills to unintended targets 5 screens away (or break vases). that has the potential of destroying every useful vase in Spark range because the party is too much distant from it. landing a x1 or x0 drop from the broken vase. Please don't assume that my questions being simple would lead to simple "presumed" answers. the Case is kinda hot. |

" How about reading my really short post? "...like the fact that you're TRYING to deal..." I like that they're trying, but no, this is probably not the solution. My gear+build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/273887

" Didn't you quit effective immediately? Looks like the whiney people here are you and the dude above. I play solo, because i don't like the massive amount of assholes who ninja every drop. I don't multibox, because I think its stupid and cheesy. I have also spent money in support of this game, so you really have no legs to stand on. And since you multiboxers are crying up a shitstorm I guess that makes me the whiney one. Maybe if you dry your eyes you will be able to read with comprehension. |

" ++1 I had high hopes for this game, but GGG already started making dubious choices like this, since the Poison Arrow nerf. 1) They nerfed hard Poison Arrow, which was one of the most solid options to people playing solo with unconventional builds to progress through the early game, all in favor of RACES. Instead of making separate balances around the races they chose the easiest path and shafted everyone. Just wait and see they nerfing Cleave/EleWeapon and all the other future top racing strats. 2) They completely destroyed the casual multiloggers that went through a lot of trouble to get 2-3 accounts through the game just to legitimately farm Ledge/Fellshrine and left the professional multiboxers unscathed. 3) They are a self-proclaimed small team of "hardcore gamers" and yet they are bending to the pleas of softcore players to nerf multiboxers and in the process hurt all the casual multiloggers actually playing on hardcore. Well, I for one am taking your option c) right now, because they already showed their true colors and this ship is going to sink sooner or later. |

GGG put out this loot adjustment in an attempt to discourage multilogging or boxing. It seems to me to be poorly thought out and a hot mess. I am beginning to wonder if things are getting away from them just a bit. There have been many great suggestions on the forums since ob. It seems however GGG will just dig the heals in on many subjects.
Many posts on this thread agree this change will do nothing to the hard core currency farmers. Why is it so hard for GGG to see what many others see immediately? I was already in the process of lvling my 4 summoners to farm merciless. Why am I bothering to multilog anyway its no fun really? Because I cant afford 10 fucking exalts for a piece of gear. The only possible way to attempt to keep up is to multilog IMO. Frankly the game seems to me to be getting worse not better. Hey but thats just me. " I'm glad you see things my way, it makes this argument all the easier to win. The facts are that summoners are pariahs in groups because of major flaws in the game and I'm literally stuck playing solo because of those flaws. I chose running multiple accounts as a way to help challenge myself in the boredom that is running maps endlessly in the hopes of actually achieving some loot drop rates that are on par with what normal party groups get every day. This patch only hoses people like me who want to log in a guy or two at the map zone in, it does nothing to the people who run merveil/vaal endlessly. At the same time it affects the entire community in a negative way, its not just multiboxers with complaints here just fyi. Regardless a player x command will be in the game at some point, whether they make it sooner rather than later is another question. |
