[3.13] Doomfletch Split Arrow Mines - Starter Viable - End Game Capable - High Damage, Low Budget
" " Not really seeing anything in cluster jewels that beats just socketing another Coated Shrapnel, unfortunately. " 1- Herald of Purity scales really well. At level 21, it gives 27-40 flat phys. Add in the ring, and it doubles to 54-80, more average flat damage than one of our jewels. Not counting the flat phys roll on the ring. 2- Charged mines is pretty good for clear before you get mine throw speed, but for raw damage, Minefield takes it. We already get power charges with the neck annoint. I actually used Charged mines for a bit though, it feels fine, just suffers on single target. " Aerial hit it on the nose. The phys comes first, is added as extra ele from Doomfletch, and then we can do whatever we want with it afterwards. Since physical damage is not affected by the elemental damage with attacks support, or any +ele damage nodes on the tree, we want to convert as much as possible. It is a fairly small portion, so we don't need to go crazy with it, but it helps. Also nice that we can convert to cold for bigger freezes. |

Hey there
Fun build so far though I am struggling a lot with currency to get the right bow a lot. Feels impossible to get it as quickly as you described in your progression. Don't know if I was supposed to rush story and farm currency with another char beforehand or what my mistake could have been? I am around lvl 40 now. Greetings |

" Just run the story. Roll prophecies and maybe you'll luck into it, otherwise don't worry about it. I didn't get the Doomfletch's Prism until about level 80; the damage output was strong enough for me to breeze through content without paying much attention to it. When I finally remembered to upgrade the bow, the damage shot way up. As for the unupgraded Doomfletch, just get any one as cheap as possible. Unless you have tons of currency to dump onto linking and socketing it, just having the bow itself will be enough. Personally, I like to attempt to roll sockets/linking, but I still need a bow to use. I always end up buying multiple versions of unique items (if affordable) with low rolls to use and a single one with higher rolls + ilvl so I can passively roll it as I map. How does increase mine damage % stack damage vs melee physical % damage?
Which would be better to Phsyical % or Mine damage %? I guess I want to know if mine damage increase all damage in the end... where in the calculations does it increase the damage. Thanks for answering my last question. Last edited by Pillsbury#6504 on Mar 18, 2020, 1:43:43 PM

Awesome build, been loving it so far this league.
I have a question about mine throw speed. I have the suggested links in two 6L Doomfletch's Prism, the only difference is my clear bow is 23% blastchain vs 20% in the single target barrage bow. (difference of 1% throw speed). My throw speed for the single target blastchain is muuuuch slower than my clear bow, I even subbed in the 23% blastchain and it felt the same. Is there something I'm missing for why that is the case? |

Hey man.
Awsome build and guide, thx for that. Question goes: Wouldnt it be smarter to change herald of purity for herald of ice? Since we convert to cold damage, and the circle of guilty is much more cheaper then purity. |

Hey there, this is my POB: https://pastebin.com/7igSFv5N
Thanks again for taking a look, really appreciate it ^^ |

" The Prism is expensive to buy on its own. Either look for the "Ancient Doom" prophecy, which is 3c, or buy 5 "Vile Power" for 1 alch each. Should be affordable by level 50ish, even with bad luck. Then upgrade your own bow. Don't worry about links for now, add those later. " They'll be identical, unless you have any added flat elemental that doesn't come from Doomfletch. Physical, Mine, Projectile, Attack, Bow, and Damage all add equal amounts to the build. Elemental is a bit weaker, since we only convert ~93%, but it's pretty dang close. It's counter intuitive, I know, but consider that we start with physical damage. That means any boost to physical damage gets fed into the elemental aspect of the bow. " It would work, but you'd need to redo the tree and links, and I'm not familiar with traps, so I don't know what that would look like. Sorry! " Barrage adds 5% more mine detonation time per each projectile, and we fire a lot of projectiles. It makes it throw slow, but it's great for preloading. My suggestion is to not think of the second 6l as a "Single Target" bow, but think of it as a "Preload" bow, only really for use before the enemies become attackable. " It's a major DPS loss, about 16% overall. Even a Herald of Purity without the ring is better than a Herald of Ice (8% more vs 2%). Plus, we will never proc HoI, since we don't kill. The mines do. " Everything looks pretty good, tbh. You're ahead of me so far this league! Aim for the Boot enchant, and a flask Crit enchant (Catarina Unveil). I also think a Nomad is a better DPS belt if you can get resist capped, and don't miss the life. As for the single target bow specifically, projectile count is key. You're missing 4 projectiles (3 from helm enchant, 1 from a level 21 gem), that's 1/3rd of the DPS missing right there. That's probably most of the missing DPS feel. Additionally, consider your use cases. Barrage doesn't adjust aim during the fire, so it is bad if the enemy is moving. It also has an innate spread that makes it even worse at range. If the enemy moves at all, most of your arrows will start to miss. Do your best to throw at the enemies feet to take advantage of Point Blank and negate the spread, and if they start moving and aren't already dead, switch away from barrage. Edit: Oh, damn... Herald of Purity Effect and Phys Damage while affected are nearly identical in PoB... And one is way cheaper. TIL. Last edited by BlaydeX15#6203 on Mar 18, 2020, 7:12:46 PM
