Development Manifesto: Delirium Improvements
" To me in my own experience it was. I care very little outside my experience, sure it's anecdotal and everyone is a slave to RNG system but it was a downgrade. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. Retired since crucible.(Not a free tester anymore for a multi billion dollar company). |

How about just removing the damn timer already? Hmm?
The entire league is bottled down to handing someone a knife and telling them to cut as many grape tomatoes as fast as possible ...while running.... in order to determine if they are going to get paid. Nothing good comes from ordering people to quickly do dangerous things. This content is already hard / challenging, just like metamorph, just how much more inane hurdles do players need in order to get the paltry rewards that drop? Do you think metamorph would have been a better league if you had forced players to flee from a moving wall to find 5 different body parts and defeat the metamorph in under a few minutes? It's one thing if the timed event is situated in a small manageable area, like with breaches / legions / incursions / blights / etc., but when it spans the entire map or it moves? Yeah ..you're going to cause problems if you don't account for that. Can you just imagine if blight league was a tower defense that moved across the map like the fog? Could you imagine if delve loot didn't drop from the cart at the end, and dropped all over along the path? For Fks sakes ...can you imagine if delve-loot-dropped-along-the-path-instead-of-the-cart? Delirium is just delving with all of the enjoyment sucked out of it; it's just the most bitter kind of content there is; and is completely backwards than any of the progressive development improvements since. Delirium would be akin to going back to doing acts 1-4 three times again in campaign. Next league going to be a new 8k Television with a two button remote control attached via a 3 foot cord, like we steampunk cerca 1960. |

Does this make RF viable? I don't think the debuffs lasting a shorter time will make it any better

[Removed by Support] devs, it feels like your thinking is divided in different people separated by rooms without means of interacting between themselves
WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU MAKE A LEAGUE CENTERED AROUND CLEAR SPEED AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT SAID CLEAR SPEED BEING TOO META, AND EVEN PUNISHING PLAYERS FOR IT? Last edited by Rebekah_GGG#0000 on Mar 17, 2020, 6:47:57 AM

"For those interested in why we use On-Death effects in content like this, it's because they are a viable way of making monsters that are killed instantly have an effect on players, and they aren't trivialised by clear-speed. Few to no other mods we can put on these monsters make any difference normally because they are eradicated by powerful builds in seconds. We're going to be toning these down, either way."
the problem with this is ranged builds (by far the majority of those cases u guys mentioned of really fast clear speed) are not affected by those on-death explosions at all cuz they are too far mostly instead, there could be 1/3 of explosions for close ranged builds, 1/3 a "blind" effect that would reduce the range of ranged attacks, like a point blank effect (forcing them to close range), and 1/3 of them with chain effect for minion builds like etc becuz the way its done, it forces the hand only for melee based builds other option entirely, for a unique solution, would be making those explosions just like those magma orbs that follows u and explodes, but faster and everlasting, but less damaging |

" It's not just that you don't have time, death effects and dodging means if you stop to loot, many times you just die. This is even on a trickster with flasks up. Moving on and not looting is the only way to do it and then coming back. I think it was an interesting idea to go from a boss killing league to a clear speed league, but the loot is sure annoying. I'm poor so I have to bother with spending more time to loot than to clear the map. Maybe if you could make a loot filter to auto pickup things, it wouldn't be so bad, especially currency, but as it is right now, looting will get you killed. I can't imagine playing HC this league right now, besides the state of the servers at launch, it must have been frustrating to say the least. I need to give Delirium more of a chance, but right now leveling and into early maps, it's a big hassle, big gamble...for almost no reward. Other than currency I haven't gotten any good items from it. |

If you want delirium to have mechanics that encourage slow, methodical play(these on-death things), then the mechanic probably shouldn't have a timer...
