Whispering ice need pretty much the exact same jewel. But pretty much any ES build would benefit from the intel/ES jewel.

But I agree, the build is shouldn't be this expensive for its mediocre damage. A single jewel is the same cost as two 6L armor and you need multiple of them. But you can start with a cheaper version. I think nerfed most tank build with shaper touch nerf and people are trying to find an alternative.
Does damage evaded count as damage prevented for Unbreakable? Looked all over for an answer to this but I can't find one, and it seems important. (Although I don't know how much regen this build is getting from Unbreakable in the endgame - still leveling.)
Just leaving my thanks for the build guide. Leveling the char, even with hollow palm, was a nightmare. Now that I got some gear rolling it's just amazing.

Btw, I don't even think that taking more than 2x Int/ES splits (for the last cluster jewel slots) is worth it. The rest of my Splits are Int/Dex and the Dex provides a solid amount of attackspeed (1400 dex atm). I lose around 100+ dex per split that i want to swap with Int/ES which translates to 5% atk speed loss.
Even with only 2 int/es splits I have 14k es and I don't think I'd need more than 11k tbh, it's just quality of life traded in for dmg.

Something to improve survivability is to include a cast on hit(lv1)/ball lightning(lv1)/chain(lv1) into the build. Ball lightning hits every 150ms. Many run GMP but that 150ms cooldown is shared by all projectiles so you don't get any benefit out of that. If you use chain, you get triple the amount of energy shield per hit as if you use GMP.

Also, while most of the awakened gems don't really make too much of a difference, awakened ancestrall call is an exception since it targets 3 additional enemies instead of 2 - big survivability (and mapping speed) boost.

In the end I swapped multistrike out for lightning pen for mapping (easier coloring and it feels a bit better imo).

Hi! I am really, really reaaaally enjoying your build right now! Thank you a lot for it, I was looking just for something like this. I just geared myself and jumped in T11 map with only cruel lab done, can't wait what it can do after level 90+!

Fantastic information, thanks a million for sharing.

Wasn't aware chain would scale it up so much. The next question becomes... any reason not to hook chain and GMP to it? :P
Chain increasing the regen per ball and GMP increasing the balls (make sure you don't miss)?

I'm guessing that even just BL+Chain puts you near the point that you'll be more fearful of one hits or after fight degens when you've nothing to leech/sustain from. Fun to think about though.

The fourth slot in my cwdt setup is wave of conviction. WoC therefore will be triggered by the same cwdt as ball lightning. I just don't have enough sockets to fit everything I'd like to have in the build honestly, otherwise a gmp chain ball lightning would've been a nice QoL bonus.

As for hitting/missing, we're already using dying sun anyways which gives us 2 additional projectiles so with the flask up we fire 3 ball lightnings out instead of a single one (making misses very unlikely).

I just got notified from reddit that according to the wiki chain doesn't work with ball lightning, what a bummer. Guess it's GMP time then :S

Just reading up on BL now. It's a messy one.

The guidance around GMP is ambiguous. It's all focused on outlining you can't shotgun and only one hit on an enemy in the 150ms window, but doesn't clear up if you can still use GMP to hit multiple different enemies with 1 hit each each with an individual window. I'd imagine you can, but it's not obvious on any of the official details.

(Standing in place it looks pretty clear it's hitting each enemy once rather than an individual single hit, so that's good)

Assuming you can't hit more enemies for more hits with GMP, it seems like Spell Echo should be the best option? Each ball would be on a unique cast so a unique timer.
Can't Echo a triggered skill either.... GMP it is.

Huge props for alternative point of view on this build! Just a thought about stacking 11 or 13 Splits with INT/ES was kinda boring, not to mention it is quite expensive adventure. Couple questions since POB not importing cluster jewels correctly - you have that much ES mainly through having high ES on your Vaal Regalia? Since what point do you think trading Inc. Heart for Vaal regalia is beneficial?

On the Ball lightning tricks - you and TsuDhoNim please update us mortals on what Support we should use lol
