Texture Streaming in Echoes of the Atlas

I understand you guys want that weak computer system players could play this game too. but game needs to move forward not backwards, so as old computer users. i admit i have 9 year old computer i have problems to play delirium maps. i jsut dont play them. that breaks the game. chek empyran with his team farming full delirium, it lags so bad maybe it might affect your servers. solid example. i have no grudge against them, i love them.
but jesus fuck could you guys just delete this delirum nosense or remove this fog crap. and oportunity to disable cretain item drop completly from settings so it wont affect our performance.

and texture streaming must be optional from game settings.

I upgraded my PC recently to a super strong machine that is high end by todays standards. That was mid heist, and everything worked like a charm... but now the performance has really gone down and it's not very fun to play unfortunately.


I get a huge lag spike everytime I enter a map or even town or hideout and then on top of that i have to wait for the blurry textures to load. I haven't had that before, so reading how this is supposed to be the "cost" of being able to play smoothly, while it does neither of the two is highly frustrating.

Please give us a button to enable and disable it at will, it would really help out with performance, this league is great, don't let it go to waste please.

Can I just opt-in to having a longer loading screen? I would rather wait an additional 5 seconds at a loading screen, if that meant all the assets can be ready to go.
I would opt-in to having longer load screen to have everything ready done so that less freezing. But that is what I think.

I do really like this game but this is really really really frustrating so I sincerely hope you are getting the data you need because so far this feels like a B- minus Beta state.

I'm glad you want players to have the ability to respond with out the client going completely still, however that does me absolutely no good when I can't see what is going on because I'm basically in Potato + color blind mode graphics. The result is a quarter second delay compared to a full second but since I can't truly comprehend what is going on it equates to monsters having a .75 second head start as opposed to a one second head start.

There has to be a compromise solution of some kind. What I see going on here reminds me of the first of the most recent Wolfenstein games came out. ID Tech 5 had some kind of continuous resolution texture loading with the engine and for me the game was utterly unplayable. I'm experiencing something similar to that with the texture loading not to the degree of trouble I had with ID Tech 5 but a similar kind of graphics load issue. I'm not sure how they (ID) ultimately resolved the issue, I just waited six or eight months and came back to it.

For what it's worth I like what you guys do and I truly appreciate the effort you put into the game. I feel like some kind of combination of medium resolution pre-loaded textures coupled with a some form layering the more detailed textures moving from the center of action out to the edges but I'm just rambling at this point. Whatever you do I hope the game play improves over the current state, I'm playing a Dodge based character but if the current problems persist I'll be switching to a Juggernaut or something.

Dont know what you guys are smoking there (should be hella expensive nvidia's weed),but its getting worse with every league. Also if that patch was supposed to help low end users, well you've actually made it totally uplayable (4700k, GTX 1060, 16 gb, M2).
If thats glimpse of PoE2 perfomance then i would rather play shitty Diablo 4, at lest blizzard understand that perfomance is a key, even tho their games are f*cking garbage nowadays.

I posted an issue that pointed out, it should be optional, because people with fast hard drives will almost never experience this.

I hope you are still able to make this change.

Worst thing about this new texture streaming is that, for me at least, the game ran super smooth last league with all settings maxed. Now, with an "improved" system I get ugly textures and stuttering when switching zones so while the aim of the change is to eliminate stuttering for me this change actually introduced an issue that I did not have before.

Unless.... this is not really an improvement meant for 3.13 but just another test for PoE2 tech.

I really want the old "tech" back and let my game run smoothly as before.
