0.10.5 Patch Notes

The nerf to silverbranch doesn't make a lot of sense. if the problem was that it was breaking races, just nerf the silverbranch in races and then make it normal again when character transfer to regular leagues if that is even possible. If the problem was that silverbranch is just too good to begin with, just nerf all of them.

The problem with nerfing subsequent drops is that you are rewarding people for just getting lucky and holding a silverbranch at the time of the patch. Its basically like winning a race reward without actually having to win anything since the point of race rewards were to create an item that was specific to season 1 of races.

The bandit waypoints have been moved away from their camps to prevent trivial boss farming.

Changes like that are just stupid. Just make them drop only a quest item and there is no "boss farming" not to mention drop rates are that poor so players are trying to find such abuseable places.

River Crossings and Vaal Ruins was also such a stupid change.

The next change like this will be "Removed Mud Flats Waypoint so farming Hailrake/The Necromancer gets harder"?

WPs in RPGs are created so you can continue to do quests. Like get the WP go offline and kill the boss the next time you go online.

You can remove WPs at all instead of creating patches making maphhacks more and more appealing by placing WP tilesets in the middle of nowhere.

I protested the RC/VR WP changes back in Alpha, but this argument about WP progression save utility/convenience apparently runs counter to the Devs' ideas of what WPs are for. In fact, the snarkiest comment I ever got from a Dev was on this point, something about "not handing things to the players on a silver platter." Rocked me back on my heels quite a bit, for a while.

Just something to get used to, I s'pose. ='[.]'=

A visual/sound clue for cold snap's cooldown end would be nice to have now :)
How will critical chance to apply status effects work with FP+GMP? Will each projectile still have a chance to crit or is it rolled only once?

No mod action. Business as usual.

I think this was even a Beta General Discussion post.

40% of the Waypoints are still a present for free. The Devs should consider how they destroy their own game.
Imo several Gameplay/Skill Tree issues can be solved by private modified leagues but such changes also end up in level design.

Wanting to know the same thing.

My sparks character is built around critting. If I don't crit, I don't do worthwhile damage.

So if only one spark can crit... Yeah, guess my lvl 82 character is done.

(I don't min/max. He uses spark: faster casting+LMP+crit damage)

So what lvl is multistrike, think we can get that info atleast? I've never found chain in OB, hope I get better luck with this, hmm

Critical strikes have been standardised in how they interact with repeating actions. The critical roll is made only once per action, regardless of how many repeats that action does. Exceptions are Tempest Shield (which rolls each time you block), Piety's Ball Lightning (which rolls per target) and Infernal Blow/Explosive Arrow (which roll separately for the explosion).

That makes me kinda sad. Won't be freezing whole groups of mobs with Frost Nova then, oh well.

Yes you will re read what it says.

It only means things like the new multi strike, if you crit on the first swing, they all will crit. so if you roll a crit on FP all of the GMP waves will crit

Great news! But without legacy moves, I would reconsider the Silverbranch decision, this kind of thing made me quit for a while in CB. But then OB came and here I am. I might need new OB soon if this keeps happening.
