I stopped playing hearthstone when I learned about POE. Ironically, I learned about POE from Kripp, a diehard Hearthstone player. I came back and there was a lot of things to enjoy in Hearthstone.
Best part, One hand on mouse, one hand on your favorite drink! After not playing for a few years, there's a lot of stuff to do like book of mercenaries, book of heroes, etc. It might not be for everyone, but it's something to get your mind off POE. Kampai! Yeah, had a friend who did very well, but wasn’t even realizing how much money he was dumping into the game. Once he did he quit, definitely not free to play……and be successful at it.
