Trap and mine damage would be more damage... but meh idk.. that 0.05 trap throwing speed w/o charges feels bad idk(added cold might be better earlier on, i am just too lazy to level a trap and mine rn)

Btw tip for mapping in red maps:

Frostbomb - spell cascade - hextouch - frostbite
(Throw it and walk) mobs are slowed, any "Tanky" mobs gets the curse and dies to ur second cast of trap ezpz but most is dead before frostbomb activates :^)


Why do you have inspiration gem in your body armour ? haven't yet got the passive ? mana won't be a problem anymore.
Inspiration actually is a bigger damadge boost than crti support.

I have it linked to spell cascade - onslaught - increase aoe
Been playing the build for a while now, and I feel its lackluster, at the least. Its nice to freeze some bosses, but you are squishy af, have mana issues, only one significant skill (ice trap), leave a lot of mobs alive on your path (as you need to be constantly running or else you are dead) and, judging by the items people are linking to this thread, its expensive as hell.

NOW, this is my second season of the game, I am a 200 hour noob and I am probably doing a lot of things wrong, but you know, after leveling as necromancer (spectre build) on the last season, this build feels very weak as it is.

Also, I agree with another poster, written guides >>>>>>>>>>>> youtube guides.

I do, however, need to recognize and thank the guy who did this, as I wouldnt be able to do anything better. Most probably, its not a build for me.

I agree with some of the points you made. it's an evasion base build which means you have to constantly move from here to there but throwing traps and watching them fall slowly on enemies makes it really hard to dodge some of the attacks which leads to getting one shoted. specially now on red maps that enemies curse and hit you from two screens away and are really fast, my 12k evasion is like nothing. however the damage is fine, killing red bosses really fast even tho i am on a 5L and bunch of other mediocre gear.

Mana is not an issue with "Eldrich Battery" passive, you can spam Ice Trap as manytimes you like, if it hits even one enemy you are good to go. when energy shield becomes your mana even with 50% less recharge rate.

It got so expensive that it's out of my league to even reach mid 90 (but since i like the damage i'm going to farm a bit with this build, doing really bad in blight maps), while it's harder to farm for currency the prices are way up high, and sadly nothing drops. Tinkerskins is around 6ex which is really important, Slavedriver is around 8ex which is good but can do without it. over all it's really expensive but most content is doable with cheap gears. get rid of tabula buy a cheap 5L Tinkerskin and get EB passive, you will see the improvements.

Right now the whole game feels like an Early Access game that devs don't know what their doing. One patch breaks the game, another buffs something, one might break it even more, everything is changing with these patches and this inconstancy to deliver a solid patch makes it even harder to follow a build.

Since they decreased manacosts you dont really need tinkerskin to sustain, replica conq efficiency+ring with non-channeling skills cost less mana + clarity\amulet with same craft and you dont need a flask or tinkerskin anymore. Without trigger wand you might not even need clarity. You can use something that actually gives you dps (+2 aoe\trap body armour). So i would say tinkerskin is definitely not important, i am not sure about architect's hand, maybe it will boost trap throwing speed by a lot, but in POB doesn't look like it. I feel like slavedrives are overpriced, but can't test it, i would rather save money for better build.

Also disagree about early access. Most of the leagues, and better ones, had a lot of patches. Ultimatum, for example, had almost no patches -> one of the worst leagues. There is always something to fix. This build also shows that they know exactly what they are doing, i am not at all surprised that this build is untouched (at least according to OP). Traps playstyle isn't very efficient by default, damage compensates it. And damage is already pretty low compared to BV at it's peak for example. There really was no reason to touch it. It is enough to kill everything, but not enough to overkill it, at least without very considerable investment. Most of the people already are jumping from it judging by poe.ninja, because this is what it is - league starter. Playing it for whole league seems unreasonable.

Well you can use Hatred instead of clarity and have no issue with mana whatsoever, ~25 mana cost is still alot (mana flask or wait time not my playstyle), mine is ~50 and i am spamming traps with 2 auras and with trigger wand. but whatever you are comfortable is the way to go.

Dude it had 11 patches till now and they are working on more. come on!

All in all i still rank this build high enough. you can still do fine with it with little investment but for being ablt to do alright, you need alot of currencies. i mean alot, so you can do just alright.

i am using bonechill+skitterbots+hatred+clarity (i've been using charisma since the beginning so not a problem). Ice trap costs 14 mana. Trigger eats through my 86 mana pool and stil it is enough. With catalysts and amulet you could get it to 0 even. Watcher's eye also an option. I went this way mostly because it gives more damage (+2 tinkerskin will cost you more than 20 ex probably, tabula or something with life is in 50c-3ex range, got mine +2 aoe with 100 life for 50c, sold tabula +2 for 60), it does alright, but with even more damage it would be a bit better mapper and great boss killer. Probably will invest in clusters next.

So far patches made the game better, so i wouldn't mind 11 more like this.
