How's the single target damage like considering there will be alot of bossing in the upcoming league ? Does it take time for CL to ramp ?

Depends on gear, but should be quite fine. For the mega-bosses, we'll be using Apex Mode to always stay at max Intensify.

It's just the nature of hit spell caster archetype that they (most often) aren't going to be the best map clearers. Even using Arc, elementalist isn't usually flying around the map. At least GGG has finally acknowledged the shortcomings and buffed damage to compensate.

Currently testing with Divine Ire and Inpulsa, the clear is fine.

Any chance you could record some gameplay? Yeah, I know damage is lower, but it's a good measure for how DI works here.

I'm considering league starting with this. I've wanting to play CL since it released and never did since it was kinda meh. I really hope the spell casting changes make it good enough to push through the entire end game.
Thanks for posting this guide - fairly sure I've found my league starter (and finisher) here.

I really want to work Orb of Storms into the build (just because of the rework... and I think it looks cool). I've swapped out the 4-link golems to instead include OoS, and swapped the golem notable to the one that gives convergence. With convergence and OoS, I think it's a bossing damage upgrade at the cost of the extra defence from the golems' regen and taunting, which I'm ok with.

The thing I'm not sure about is the loss of cast speed from the lightning golem, as it goes from 28% down to 6% as I'm keeping a lower level one around on cwdt. In terms of how the build feels to play, is that cast speed loss going to be a big deal?

Wouldn't it be better to put Molten Shell on left click? Then you can link Increased Duration instead of CWDT, or Second Wind for Flame Dash
