MTX only chests, I like how they fit with the Expedition chest. But of course they are not required. Everything else is free.
I moved away from the original idea simply because there are no suitable decorations. So belonging to the pirates have to be explained.

One of my favorite cartoons from my childhood was Treasure Planet. And in this hideout, I tried to create a ship floating in space, running on a special type of fuel.

Unfortunately, the editor has limitations and does not have enough decorations to complete this ship, filling the entire deck and adding sides.

It says you only used 208 decorations, so you have hundreds left to complete the ship with, not sure what you mean here

speaking of limitations, I talked about the impossibility of placing decorations outside the landscape, as well as adjusting the height of the decorations (additional Z-axis). Therefore, the deck of the ship seems empty.

about the scenery, I was talking about variety.
At the moment, there is no decor in the form of a large wooden square beam that could act as the sides of the ship. And despite the fact that most of the scenery is simply taken from the main game, some things remain inaccessible for various reasons, from technical to aesthetic.
I already raised the topic in Discord that the theme of the Pirates is quite complicated, and can only be expressed by ships, pirate bays and treasure islands. Simply because among the decorations there are neither pirate weapons nor the Fairgraves Image.
I would love to complete the ship completely, but I am disappointed by my feebleness, based on the above reasons.
It remains to wait for PoE 2, where there will be added new acts with new scenery, which will inevitably fall into the hands of the players.

I sort of have to disagree with you here. I think pirates are one of the best themes so far exactly because they can be intricate to build without MTX; they showcase talent.

Plus, don't forget that it's also about how you interpret the theme. I think one of the most difficult things to manage this competition is how many different hideouts can be built around it, not how few.

There is at least 1 I can think of off the top of my head, plus the wrecked boats doodad has a variant that is the side of a ship
Maybe look at how other people have made boats

I have made several pirate ships over the years, I know there isn't a huge amount of ready-made decorations, you need to creatively combine existing decorations to make something new, and that is one of the things us judges will be looking out for when we come to score the entries. This theme in particular will really challenge participants to combine decos to make new things and showcase their technical skill beyond just placing the objects GGG gives you.

There is still plenty of time to work on and/or update submissions :)

► Name of the hideout: Wokou Harbour
► Submitter name: Morinmeth
► How your hideout fits the theme?: Wokou - translating roughly in "Japanese" or "Dwarf" pirates were raiders of the east Asia coasts during the 13th - 16th century. Historians and history buffs compared them with another pirate/raiding people, the Vikings. Regardless of their name, the Wokou were not only of Japanese nationality; eastern Asian Wokou - like Chinese or Koreans - were just as prominent. Besides the historical reference, this is a romanticization of their ship; leader's area + seat inside the map device room, two tents concealing the raiders and the front area of the ship where crew members can be seen taking a rest and having a drink. I tried to decorate the rest of the harbour with east asian style buildings and a marketplace acting as a haven. Lastly the snow is just creative liberty. The melting snow and the coming of spring means the pirates can start raiding again, plus I think it's a beautiful season.
