One Step Ahead + Cyclone - anyone messing with this?

Wouldn't be a league starter for me, but I'm messing around with putting together a Trickster with One Step Ahead + Cyclone.

With 108% minimum action speed, I assume the speed penalty from Cyclone still keeps you at 108 minimum. Question though - does it reduce any extra movement speed above that by 30%, or is the movement speed reduction completely negated?

What about stuns? Is it effectively "cannot be stunned" (I think I read you can't be frozen with this, not sure if that applies to stuns as well)?

Also wondering about the usefulness of this vs. other ascendancies. With Slayer you get a lot more AOE and raw damage and more sustain with Juggernaut.

Think it'll be viable and/or good mapping build?

I believe that cyclone will still make you slower while channeling, as it reduces "movement speed" not "action speed" overall.

An ascendancy point that will make you do what you're thinking it does, is Unflinching from Juggernaut, as that makes you unable to be slowed, unable to be lower action speed, and unable to be stunned.

Trickster's usefulness as an ascendancy boils down to One Step Ahead being an 8% more dps increase and some defense, Polymath being a possibly insane dps/recovery node, and just getting more defense through the other passives depending on what build you are and how much you want to abuse the really good Ghost Shroud mechanic.

These are just my thoughts though, Trickster seems really fun and I will probably try a CoC build using it this league at some point as it has a lot of generic dmg increases that'll be easy to experiment with different setups.

You mean Unstoppable? Which states "action speed cannot be modified to below base value".

How is that any different from "at least 108% action speed"?

According to https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Action_speed this also includes running.

Unstoppable also states "movement speed cannot be slowed to below base value"
If they were the same there wouldn't be a distinction

"Modifiers to action speed have a multiplicative effect on a character in conjunction with stats that affect the speed of specific actions, such as movement speed, attack speed, cast speed and stun recovery." - https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Action_speed (you probably want to switch to the new wiki)

If you want a fast Cyclone, go for The Stampede

It overrides any other Movement Speed modifiers, including Cyclone's Less Movement Speed.
Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before. He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.
I have been messing with this from an older cyclone build I had saved but never tried, as I love Cyclone and CI https://pastebin.com/Cddd4ANk. You can start with 2 Icimoji swords but I really like the saviour. Of course you can later get crafted or even paradoxica's with a blood rage roll. Seems fun I may start it although if you don't know much about CI you prolly shouldn't try this. Also I was thinking of trying to get Energy Blades in this for fun idk.

One Step Ahead will work with Cyclone "less movement speed". So, for example, if you have 100% ms cyclone will reduce it to 70%, but notable will raise it up to 108%. If you have, say, 200% ms after cyclone you will get 140% and notable effect will not apply.
Thought about that combo myself, as well as trying new Bronn's on it. Haven't yet finished thou.

This just isn't true. Action speed is a modifier to all other speeds. If you have 100% MS and 108% Action speed, 100%*108=your new movement speed. Cyclone reduces your movement speed. So now your MS is going to be 70% * 108% for a total MS of 75.6%. You need the modifier that explicitly states "Movement speed cannot go below 108%" for what you said to be true. There are debuffs out there that set your MS to 0. You are not protected from those. There are debuffs that set your Action speed to 0, which in turn sets all your other speeds to 0. You are protected from those. Frozen for example modifies Action speed, where those annoying vines that come up from the ground modify movement speed.
The skill reads "Movement speed is atleast 108% of base value" so you can't go below 108% of base movement speed.
