[3.25] Ice Dancing Queen - Icestorm/Cyclone/CI - Viable For Everything

Not just you, I've had 2 divines drop myself. Not clear where the money is this league either...

I have to ask. What are you running Atlas Tree wise to be able to afford all those %increased intellect, cluster jewels and Forbidden Flesh/Flame (they are 10+ divines at the time of this post).

I might've gotten lucky in the lake. I usually build it out with mostly basic tiles, dropping down a boss or two and some of the league mechanics that also grant a chest (I think only Rogue Exiles do that) or Expedition nodes for the re-roll currency that vendors well (coins, medallions, etc.)

While building lakes I've done various atlas builds. Wandering path (with blight, expedition, ritual, metamorph and exarch altar farming) or Invitation farming w/ expedition and blight. With wandering path you can get some insane pack size modifiers on the influenced packs, which makes some nice drops if you can get the right altars.

More recently I've been farming the maven for awakened skill gems, working with the gear I got from the lake and atlas.

The only lucky drop I've had this league that let me get the forbidden flame / flesh was an Aegis Aurora the other night that sold for 16 divine. I wouldn't have them yet if not for that drop.

Does the "% chance to unnerve enemies for 4 seconds on hit" actually work for spell casters like us? I've normally taken "on hit" to require melee.

I have seen 1 divine this league (that I lost in Heist) and just gotten one from shopping for a friend and hitting a lucky corruption on gloves {because he whispered so many people that he got locked out of whispering for an hour lol from the website).

Did you guys end up MF and lucky with God touched loot pinata?

I've personally only encountered 1 god touched mob and it was a Tukohama, so nothing worthy dropped but a few alchemies.

I sympthasize. I had the same issue previous leagues until I realized that You Must Farm To Earn Currency.

In this league, I did the following in the order given:

1. Chaos recipe 6x @ 24c per.
2. Buy 3 15% int belts when they were 20c each. Smash deafening spites into the worst of the 3 belts after scouring them and 20% qual them with just 4 catalysts. Kept the best, sold the other 2 for 1 divine each. (Used maybe 30 spites.)
2.5 Buy 3 polymaths and turn in for a 16/99 amulet. Nice.
3. Run blueprints with unusual gems. I have NEVER lost currency on ANY such blueprint run. Total profit ~3 divines when I didn't need to run any more (maybe 10?)
4. Buy 6% int rings and 15% int amulets, scour them, 4 catalysts to 20%, and then slam deafening spites.
5. Pick up a dex/int split personality so I could use the crafted amulet. When I upgraded to a mirrored one, sold it for 1.5 divine. I paid maybe 40c for it.
6. Sell gear I upgraded from for reasonable prices. Sold my 17% 6S perfectly colored staff for 75c.
7. Use atlas tree and the 2c Essence map tab to collect essences as you do maps normally. That is a slow but steady moneymaker. Corrupt anything that has a screaming at least, and/or has at least 4 essences. This build can kill 9 essence x 2 mobs with no effort.

Right now, I'm selling essences, random stuff I find in maps, I also do delve and look for bosses past level 100.

The most valuable thing I've found was Inpulsa's that I sold for 2.5 div; a random lucky drop. I have found zero other items that sold for significant values. Maybe 2 divines have dropped.

I just spent 8 div to upgrade both of my cluster jewels this weekend.

I'm doing maps to get Maven splinters. I am 0 for 2 on the Maven -- I just cannot do the memory game after the first two (too much screen clutter to see ANYTHING), or seem to find her at the end -- she's just not visible, while I am desperately trying to avoid the spikes that will kill my leech. So both times, lost 3-4 portals at that point. Ugh.

I hope that helps. Basically, find something you don't mind doing a lot of times, and do it.

Yes, spells hit. DoTs do not hit though, they tick. For example, the initial hit from placing Vortex is a hit, but the persisting cold damage is a DoT. And obviously Icestorm is also a spell that hits, as is Frostblink.

Just gotta find your own style that works for you.

I've personally never been a bigger map runner or juicer so the loot changes hardly affect me. I usually only runs maps to get materials for other content. Expedition and Blight are my go to (used to be Harvest but...)

In about 30 blighted maps I dropped about 6-8 raw divines + 3-5 more in miscellaneous earnings and sales. In Expedition, Rogcrafting T1 bases is super easy and a good way to earn a lot of money. Then of course you also have Gwennen as the lotto ticket, and Tujen as the sustained currency earner. Exilence put my highest networth at 12k chaos before splurging on upgrades, and I'd say about less than a third of that was earned directly from running maps (unless you count the Expedition artifacts).

I've also heard Legion and Heist can make some good profit too this league. Additionally, if you don't want to run Lakes, then you can set them up to try and score Paradise or Ethereal mists on 10+ difficulty. I had a D12 Paradise that sold for roughly a Divine.

This build is a good boss killer. Take advantage of it. As you can see in my videos from this league, I've been farming bosses. All Atlas nodes that add the chance to drop guardian/etc maps. And farm those with extra drops too. Then do the special invitations (The Formed, The Twisted, etc). And the endgame bosses too (the regular versions, not the ubers).

I made a ton of currency doing exactly what the Farming video shows: Elder guardians -> The Twisted -> The Elder -> The Maven. Selling random Watchers Eyes and awakened gems.

All my favorite map slots are set to Defiled Cathedral. That's where I farm xp and level. With 60-70% pack size (Grand Design) and usually the blue influence. Extra strongbox, rare/corrupted. Extra shrine. Cheap divination, cartography and ambush scarabs. This map is wonderful. It has a great layout. It sustains itself. With that huge pack size the Divines drop naturally. And it has a chance of dropping some very expensive cards.

Icestorm hits. A lot. Everything is always Unnerved, just add that eldritch mod.
New video: The Trialmaster

I found one part of it in the delve, and another one in Vaal Temple, then bought the rest and ran it just for the challenge. I didn't play in 3.14, never seen this boss before, no idea what's going on there.

It did no damage to me. It died faster than some of the archnemesis rares in T16. It dropped an item that's apparently worth 7 div.

This is some sort of a joke, right?

The backlash to the loot changes is overexaggerated. It mainly affects map juicers as some have pointed out. Pure exalted drops in the past were very rare as well.
If you are an alc and go player, it's generally better. The only issue I faced was alchemy sustain at the beginning. Remember that you can use orb of binding to alc maps.

For white mapping, the main consistent income will be from chaos recipes.

Build up your map pool and atlas points as much as possible. Don't be afraid to buy maps that you are missing. They are pretty cheap now too.

Once you have a decent amount of points in your atlas tree, you will need to decide on a league mechanic.
Most mechanics can make you a decent amount of currency so do something that you enjoy and are most familiar with.

Heist: Probably the most profitable but its Heist..

Legion: If you can clear the entire crystal fast, it's good. However, I don't think this build is suitable for that.

Expedition: My personal favourite. Tujen gives you a good amount of currency and I dislike trading for bulk. Gwennen has been nerfed though. We don't have issues with this.

Essence: Simple and our build can handle even the tougher variations. Is more lucrative at the start of league but it still works.

Ritual: Divines appear in stacks still and have a pretty low cost. Uniques are good too.

Blight: You will need to be familiar with blight mechanic in order to clear it. Can be lucrative still as Verdale have stated.

Harbinger: I wouldn't recommend this since ex shards are no longer valuable.

My other go to mechanic is boss rush and invitations. As Kelvynn has mentioned, our build specialises in boss killing. This is something you can consider at the end stage. I personally do elderslayers > invitations > maven/uber sirius.

This build is very value for performance. You should be able to handle most content with minimal investment. You wouldn't need forbidden jewels or those crazy intel% +t1 Intel min max gears before uber.

Astramentis+1 CTC cluster and 2 split personality with decent Intel gears should get you through pinnacle bosses.
