New video: Act 3 Boss Fight

In Act 3 you start to get more powerful skills, so it feels less pathetic. Or maybe they just didn't overtune this boss like they did Act 1 and 2 ones. You have to kill that Viper Nazi bitch to get to this guy, and she's much harder. I died to her 'Arakaali' mechanic 10+ times.

The lack of meaningful skills and especially supports in this game is just crazy. And there are NO MOVEMENT SKILLS! At all! It's a walking simulator. So slow and boring!

My interest in PoE 2 is fading rather quickly. The only reason I'm still playing it is the absence of a new PoE 1 league. I guess GGG's decision to skip it was a smart one.

actually, there is movement skill. We only get it very late into the game. There is also Leap Slam

I'm also levelling up a cold-based sorceress to see how far I can get without dying based on what I now know about the game. Those freezing shard gelid staves are remarkably good...

POE2 = SSF ruthless, but with trading LOL.

I upgraded my staves to +5 cold spell level and I'm in Cruel Act 3 now.
Killing boss is much easier with the staves. A few frost wall + cold snap casts and the boss is dead. But the clear speed is pretty bad due to CoF nerf.

Because I also play SSF Ruthless in POE1, I don't have a hard feeling on the play style of POE2. But it is very time consuming given that I spent many hours now and am still not in map.

New video: Act Bosses 4, 5, 6

Witch or Sorc, path to the cold cluster at the top, take the Freeze Buildup cluster too, and then invest into crits (top and right). And a bit of mana cost reduction and mana regen. Freeze and clear trash with Eye of Winter. Nuke rares and bosses with Comet. You get these spells in Act 3, and from there on you are no longer playing Dark Souls.

In PoE 1 you can't freeze lock most of the bosses - their action speed cannot be reduced to zero no matter what. But I guess the developers working on PoE 2 really are a separate team.

In before nerf?
No nerf coming, bosses can be electrocuted, stunned, frozen. The only internal compensatory mechanic is the fact that after being frozen, there is a timer with a freeze buildup debuff. (And I have occasionally run into the issue where a boss could only be frozen a maximum 4-5 times. Then its simply not building up anymore. Hopefully thats not intentional.)
Anyone else having trouble trading?

Specifically, every time I attempt to snipe something, it's already sold. I am talking about it appearing on the live search list, I click on send a message immediately (within 0.2 seconds), and the item is already marked as sold.

I do see there are trading apps on github, but they all do seem to require manual intervention.

I am wondering if I am competing with some robotic app that uses the trade api directly to make trades without requiring a human to click...

I do wish to remain within the ToS.

the website servers are currently on fire.

yesterday evening i managed to do like 3 trades, bc the site was barely coping with the amount of players currently playing.

it was better during the week.

Still no word on Whispering Ice for PoE2?

My husband watched a video of unique weapons the other night but I wasn't paying full attention.

He got the EA and has played maybe an hour. He finds it horrible as is. Infinitely more hard.

I have to replace my PCU fans, so I'm waiting...but a lot of videos I've watched don't give me much incentive to try it if I'm honest. At least, not right now.

The Whispering Ice is not in EA (all available unique items can be found through the trade website).
But it may be introduced later.

POE2 is not POE1 with improved graphics. It's a very different game.

Also, for the first week everyone was experimenting and no one knew what the best things to do were.

Now, there are levelling guides and you can avoid other people's mistakes if you want -- or just go in blind like I did.

I am in maps now. It took a week and about 50 playing hours to complete the campaign. Next league I could probably cut that down to about 30 hours, which is only 10 hours longer than it takes me to hit maps in POE1.

I really enjoyed the campaign. The atlas I don't know yet -- I've done only 12 maps so far.

I'm doing a SRS skeletal arsonist MOM build, which has roughly the same playing effort as a whispering ice build!

Someone in my guild completed campaign in 15 hours. I can easily see ppl coming up with 10 or less hours campaign clear time.
