Well... a 3rd ring (Helical) with +200 Int and any useless random mods will add ~25% MORE damage. At the price of no flasks and One Step Ahead.
And that's a 100% guaranteed craft. There is probably something else good to craft as the 2nd target mod (since we won't need more resists after the 1st ring).
I wonder how this third ring will interact with Kalandra

Wording on Ring of Kalandra has been changed from “other” ring to “opposite” ring. So it’ll only reflect the one directly across from it in the loadout UI. The third ring slot is opposite the amulet slot.

I already got an answer to that: the 3rd ring is not left, right or 'opposite'. None of the things that work with the normal ring slots will apply to it. As such, it's completely pointless to use it for Shavronne's, or Kalandra's, etc.

About amulet crafting, patch notes say that
"
couldn't be Magic Rarity with modifiers
. But it still should be possible to use transmute on it and make it magic without modifiers, as it works right now. So while cheap hinekora is gone, imprinting should still be possible. If it is like this, we can use modified version of metacrafting. Imprint no mod amulet, chaos spam for %int, annul other crusader mods. Then awakener's orb, rest of the process the same. Restore to imprint if something goes wrong. Price increases though because of extra chaos used.
Or am i missing something?

That does work. But you need more attempts and each one consumes the Awakener's Orb and donor amulet.

So same as first method from the guide, but extra chaos spam cost for every attempt. If that one was estimated as ~100div, i think this one would be ~120div. Not too big of a difference, and your expensive base is safe all the time, no chance to break it unless you mess up the imprinting part

+All Attr, of course. To get back what was lost on the Simplex. So we are right back at the power level we had, plus 25% MORE damage!
Giving up One Step Ahead and all flasks strips quite a few defensive layers, though.
Another Helical's worth of flat int might be too good to pass up, but I'm a bit hesitant to move too far in the glass cannon direction.

We can get that much damage from the frenzy charge ascendancy + body armour eldritch implicit without giving up flasks or having to get another pricey ring, though.

Flasks and One Step Ahead were very useful for some particular uber boss fights (notably, Uber Sirus and Uber Exarch). But as the Phrecia league demonstrated, with enough damage you can just overpower them without those things.
For most of the game though, raw power will be better. And it only costs some gold to re-spec if needed.
