Your main challenge will be getting your fire resistance items. Your net regen will also likely be much closer to the breakeven point because you won't be able to trade for cheap uniques that give a bunch right off like Kikazaru and Rise of the Phoenix.

You won't have any use for the transfigured damage gems; in both cases the transfigured option is flat-out worse than the original gem.

Fire Trap of Blasting alters the gem to focus on the initial fire damage hit, which we don't scale well; our specialty is burning damage, and this version gets rid of it. I do not think there are any RF builds that will want this instead of the normal version.

Similarly, we do not want Righteous Fire of Arcane Devotion, because we do not scale mana or spell damage. While it is quite possible to build an RF character to use this instead, it is a wildly different build (and would almost invariably be a Heirophant and never any form of Marauder) and outside of the scope of this guide.

From what little theorycrafting I was able to do (thank you GGG for dumping that RF gem on us hours before launch while I was in the middle of farming dozens of Gifts...) there is potential in such a build... But not for Chieftain, and it'd require an entirely different guide. (which I may write if no one else does it decently first, but don't expect me to take a serious crack at it before the end of the year)

Whatever filter you're already using will work fine.

Blade Blast is a wildly different skill: it's a skill that deals physical spell damage with hits, while RF deals buff fire damage over time. (that is neither spell damage nor attack damage)

So no, I would not use that skill at all with a build like this.

What do you think about the league mechanic item which gives:
Chance to cover rare enemies in ash for 10 seconds on hit???
Can i proc this with shield charge?
Also does this work out with rf or fire trap? First time i play rf .
Thanks
Which wildwood specialisation is worth to pick?
Oath of the maji sounds pretty good, doubled defences from equipped body armour with no socketed gems
