[3.24] Ice Shot / Lightning Arrow Deadeye (Or Tornado Shot) - 400%+ MS, League Start Viable!
" Thanks for your advices, i followed them (except for the boots, i'm still trying to hit the action speed), and i'm now crushing juiced t16 ! I don't have leeching or reduced cost so i can't use dying sun, but otherwise the cleerspeed feels amazing ! As of right now, i purchased a pretty good bow with 1550 edps + 1 additionnal arrow, and even if i want to min/max the build, i don't feel like changing all of my items to go to crit at the moment (and i also don't have the money !). Do you still have advices for min/maxing the elem dps build ? Like a better watcher's eye ? Additionnal arrow quiver ? Also, i realised that farming simulacrum was pretty funny to me, and i'd like to be able to go up to wave 30, but i'm stucked at around 23 ... What do you think should i upgrade in order to progress further ? I don't have any chaos res, jewels with it are too expensive. Also maybe can i use an inspired learning ? I don't know if it works with cluster jewels ... Btw, are the ubers doable with my build, or do i need to upgrade to the crit version in order to beat them ? Thank you for your time ! pob : https://pobb.in/e8eTxYc-UVhk Last edited by Hazdard on Apr 30, 2023, 2:51:01 PM

First time playing this build and actually having loads of fun, props to the OP! Thanks for making the build :)
Question for everyone here... when do you actually switch to the Endgame Heatshiver setup ? I think my current build is lacking damage wise, and I can't find out what the problem is. I've got the following gear ready to be equipped if someone can tell me wether to switch or not: Hope that someone can clarify some stuff for me. Current char: Kijkziegaatieweer Thanks! |

Hello :)
I have been following your build since the league start and enjoying it a lot! I have managed to make couple of divines and decided to swap to crit as i felt like my dmg was not that great anymore especially on T16 maps or end game bosses. I have spent quite a bit of currency today and i could see a huge dps buff running through maps - although i am struggling with the map bosses, takes a bit of time for me to kill them and for some reason even with chaos resistances and more surpression & evade i keep dying to one shots, either from random mobs on the maps but majority of my deaths are coming from the map bosses. Could you please have a quick look on my build and advise what can i change or whether i am missing something to help me survive more/kill the bosses faster? https://pobb.in/iDSssik5Qr5N Thank you! :3
" Your POB is a merge of the OP's and your own which makes it very confusing as it has enabled all of the OP's skills instead of your own. Edit: I imported your character directly into POB and it shows you are actually using sniper's mark and mark on hit even though the POB you linked suggests you aren't. So this point can be ignored. Secondly, your hit chance is only 67%. So your attacks aren't hitting the enemy 1/3rd of the time so that is an instant -50% DPS right there (yes -50%, not -33% if you check POB with your hit chance maxed out you are losing half your damage because hit chance also increases critical strike chance. So having 100% hit chance will literally double/100% increase your current damage). You want hit chance to be 100%, or as damn close as you can get it to 100%. Edit: Again, after importing your character it seems you have worked on this a bit and are now up to 88% hit chance which is better, but still your DPS can improve by up to 25% if you can get it to ~100% Thirdly, your crit chance is only 48%, so only half the time you are actually crit'ing, you would want this at around 72%+, and preferably as close to 100% as possible without sacrificing much multiplier (~75% is perfectly fine until you are spending heaps on the build, and get higher level). As I mentioned before, fixing your hit chance to be as close to 100%, will increase your crit chance too, simply making your hit chance 100% brings your crit chance automatically to 72%. Edit: With your imported character you are now at 68% crit chance, and if you were at 100% hit chance, it puts your crit chance to 77% Fourthly, your lightning resistance isn't capped and your fire and lightning resistances aren't ~15-20% above the 75% cap. If you aren't ~15-20% above the cap, and you are running maps that reduce your elemental resistance/penetrate elemental resistance, then you are taking a lot more damage than normal. If you are skipping all maps that lower or penetrate your resistance, then you shouldn't need to over-cap, but still want to get your lightning res up to 75%. Fifthly, your spell suppression isn't capped at 100%. Meaning, that 12% of the time you take spell damage according to your imported character, you are taking full blunt spell damage. Ideally, you always want your spell suppression to be 100%, so whenever you take spell damage, it is ALWAYS 50% or more reduced damage. Lastly, your max HP being only 2.5k seems very rough, which is likely why you get 1 shot all the time. Aim to get your HP >=3k at the very least, preferably >=3.25k (can work on this at higher levels and budget, to get even 4k HP. But that is waaaay later and high budget, plus probably not needed if you just 1 shot everything lol). Edit: You are now at 2.7k after importing your character, which is an improvement but can still definitely be better. As it's only 5%, it may not be the best mastery to take if there are other better nodes for damage. Edit: After importing your character, it appears you already did this. Optionally you can run culling strike, which is basically a free 10% DPS Boost as it kills almost anything that has 10% HP or less. Your inspiration on your manaforged arrows isn't doing a whole lot at all I think, ~1% increase in damage and lowering the mana cost of those skills and that's it. Which mana on those skills shouldn't be an issue as long as you are leeching mana well enough. Instead, replacing this with culling strike could help as long as you don't start getting mana issues. If you do get mana issues, then probably best not to run it. Seems the majority of poe.ninja heatshiver users don't run it but some do, so maybe mana is a problem using it. There is probably a few other things I didn't spot but those are the ones I did. Last edited by TJ8 on Apr 30, 2023, 8:02:30 AM

Hello, so far enjoying this build, however I feel I am lacking dmg, mainly on bosses and fat rares, any ideas what should i upgrade ?
Thanks POB : https://pobb.in/pqF_6ozyvHVt
can anyone point me to a good high DPS (physical) bow craft guide? i see some from previous seasons but want to make sure relevant for Crucible.
Can we still try and fracture a bow for +2 arrows?
" Can someone explain why heatshiver requires physical dps?
Playing this on my first character. I'm not really sure how/when should I be using hydrosphere.

Does it matter if 6L from Ballista is on body or bow? For me it might be cheaper to swap skill gems and put it in bow.
|
|
" No difference, unless your bow has something like +1 level to skills or bow gems. (then you'd want to keep your bow gems on the bow) |
