Are the eggs bad for your health?
One doctor is saying the egg yolks are containing many minerals and vitamins ,but also cholesterol and some others are saying only the white should be eaten in a salad??
What do you think?? Last bumped on May 2, 2023, 2:36:19 AM

The benefit of the minerals, protein and vitamins contained in a whole egg outweighs any possible detriment from the amount of cholesterol in them.
Eat whole eggs in moderation. 😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 | |
Idk about my health, but after I've eaten about 4 pickled eggs, I'm concerned about YOUR health. Maybe you should go sit by the window...you're looking a little green...

no, like everything else you overdose and it can become bad. Drink too much water and you can get your brain swollen and die.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_intoxication The deal with eggs and fat in general is that the sugar industry tried to blame fat for health problems and avoid their own fault in the 70s. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/09/13/493739074/50-years-ago-sugar-industry-quietly-paid-scientists-to-point-blame-at-fat#:~:text=Press-,50%20Years%20Ago%2C%20Sugar%20Industry%20Quietly%20Paid%20Scientists%20To%20Point,on%20the%20dangers%20of%20fat. https://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/13/well/eat/how-the-sugar-industry-shifted-blame-to-fat.html From this time on with the help of US government, they created the outdated food pyramid and like everything in the propaganda programs of the US it spread around world without questioning much. So Medicine started to attack anything with cholesterol inside without much attention to details and Eggs got in hot water. Nowadays more research about cholesterol is being made and without the bias from the sugar industry propaganda from the 70. So modern research is saying that it all depend about the individual and what you eat with those eggs but 1 egg a day is pretty safe to eat if you are in good shape. https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/food-features/eggs/ Personally I think 3 eggs a day is fine for me but I am a sport addict and I only boil them. Recently a push is being made to blame eggs again in the press, There is some suspicious timing for that. lot of heart attacks recently. Another point about eggs is how they are produced and how the chicken are kept. I understand the POV of people arguing against eggs for the animals cause. I think healthy garden chicken make great eggs and there is nothing wrong with eggs as a food if the chickens are well treated. I know Peta made a campaign 4 years ago mixing Chicken eggs-feminism and eating female ovaries https://www.peta.org/blog/can-you-be-egg-eating-feminist/ The new campaign against eggs started in the press might come from that too. TL/DR 1 egg a day is perfectly fine if you are in good health Forum pvp Last edited by lolozori on Apr 8, 2023, 2:55:30 AM

most of the goodness is in the yolk. i eat about 8-10 eggs a week, i think throwing out the yolk is insane. i think if u dont wanna eat the yolk just dont eat eggs.
is eating 4 eggs in a day 'good' for you? well its got a lot of nutrition but yeah its kind of heavy on the cholesterol. at the same time its probably less bad for you than eating a deep pan pizza. eating fats in general, you do absorb it, eating a lot of fat is definitely not good for you. but you need a certain amount of fats in your diet, theyre essential and generally eating fat is not what is making us fat. i havent checked the links but i think like lolo is probably pointing out whats making people fat is eating sugar and heavily processed starchy carbs. say you have a bowl of yoghurt for breakfast, full fat, its like 4% fat maybe? then you got the low fat diet one that tastes like shit, terrible consistency, its perhaps 1% fat. think about dividing that tiny bowl of yoghurt into 100 pieces and then putting 3 of them together, thats the amount of fat you saved from not eating the proper full fat yoghurt. its nothing, its a tiny little marble sized ball of fat, its completely insignificant to your body weight, that is not making you fat or doing much harm at all. whats making you fat is that giant deep pan pizza + garlic bread that if you scrunched up is about the size of your head made mostly from starchy carbs that have been ground down, are rapidly digested because theyre already super processed into a cooked flour and will be broken down into blood sugar in your body just like youd eaten a giant bowl of toffee. your body is gonna panic because your blood sugar is through the roof, thats gonna trigger a massive burst of insulin which will drain all the sugar out of your blood, switch your body into fat storage mode, youre gonna feel super tired and most of that pizza is going to end up being stored as belly fat, and it will be significant because its over 100x the size of the little marble of fat we were talking about with the yoghurt earlier. our bodies are just not evolved to deal with that amount of processed starchy carbs. if u think about eating a pizza like that, the way u feel tired after, youve just eaten a gallon of rocket fuel for your body and you have no energy, you feel like taking a nap. how absurd is that? were obviously not designed to handle that amount of constantly available and easily digestible fuel. eat 2 eggs and 2 bits of bacon for breakfast, no carbs, no sugar, how do you feel? i dunno about you guys but i feel great, im ready to go and i got energy all day. for sure excessive cholesterol is an issue but so is just large amounts of body fat in general, diabetes, all sorts of stuff is as bad if not worse and relatively small amounts of fat in our diets like an extra egg yolk here or a couple of bits of bacon there are nothing compared to eating lots of bread, dough, pasta, fries, chips, sugar, fruit juice, soda... imo thats really whats driving most of the obesity and heart problems were seeing from a diet point of view. keep the egg yolks in the breakfast, cut out the orange juice and toast, thats the real toxic bit. |
