Well, that is a way to do this - but the dmg is rather low (compared to other recommendations in this thread).

And imho, the Affliction Ascensions are not very suitable for this build (some of it is, but most isnt). You have realised a way to utilise tinkures - but only by sacrificing the elemental flasks.

In other setups you will have way more life reg/recoup, more effective HP - and 2 times the dmg.

Does the tincture even work?

cause it says "increased damage for each non-instant spell in the last 8 seconds"

But the damage number doesnt go up

And i also tried "ALL DAMAGE can shock" tincture but monsters dont get shocked either
Appearently, Tinctures only apply to weapon attacks. I didnt know that either, until i tried to answer your question for myself. And since FR is a spell, and not an attack - that seems to be the reason for it to not work.

So, that makes it not only an inferior option - it makes it obsolete.

The shock effect would probably worth the tradeoff - but goin for resist flasks and Righteous Fire is a safe "bet" on massive dmg gains (and more mitigation).


As stated before, i think there isnt much for "us" in those Ascensions. I picked Oath of the Maji for the 25% HP (thats pretty good) and Detect Evil (the Rest in Warden Ascension is of no use - Barkskin could be good, but we dont have reservation capacity left for that).
And i tried Warlock before (y know - all the bloodmagic and stuff), but besides the reduced reserve costs there isnst anything usful either. Cannibalised Faith could have been really good, but it dosent work with Rathpith (wich isnt really life cost - it is its own thing).

Havent really looked into the Primalist. But this could be very good, there are charms with additional projectiles fired (ludicrously expensive), or chance based more area dmg, Wither on hit, %strength, increased lifereg and such things.

i tested it myself too and it appears you are right, only weapon attacks work with tinctures. Thanks for your build suggestions btw i been following your POB in the last few days, made little adjustements myself but its working.
And thanks for the original build creator too
Are there any videos as to how this build plays in maps etc?
I watched some of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfBy1_-fxW4 before i started with this build - it is an older vid with a different build, but you can see some mapping action.

In my expierence this build performs best with brawling (confined areas or dashing into mobs - Unleash Support strongly recommended), and worst vs single target especially with lots of movement (since projectile speed is horrible without a acceleration shrine effect). I do Ultimatum, Ritual, Heist and Delving with this ... i am not a PoE Veteran, and while kinda like fiddling with builds ... i am not so much into min-maxing gameplay, so i cant really tell you how well this performs on a grand scale. For my purposes it works reasonably well.

Thx man, glad it is useful.

edit: I now do have my gear how i want it to be (without getting in stupid expensive territory). I will go for lvl 96 and Combat Stamina, and drop Robust when reaching 98 to relocate to Golem Blood (wich is a bit offshoot, but worth it). If i'll bring this to 100, it will either be another socket or 2 more endurance charges (for 8% increased base physical resistance).

3.3m dps / 6.2k regeneration (4.5k net) / 5.4k unreserved life

Only one weakness: hard hitting stuff can oneshot one with capped life (got nuked by uber atziri's Flameblast, or some shit from a unique heist contract boss ... for example). Optional, if your up against stuff like this: go without Righteous Fire (to have some ~800 ES up), or without Petrified Blood - this will gut some damage but improves surviveability against nukes.
Other than that - basically 99% close to immortality. If it gets rough, stop casting for a bit (maybe pop molten shell for 5k temp life) and all will be fine.

With some 140 div investment and switching to Primalist, this could go beyond 4m dps.
