The Coward's Trial - Unique map garbage

Maybe you should l2p because its too easy imo. Maybe last room where there are 25 rhoas its worst part but you have granites right?

Again one of the best maps i have played, dont blame the map, blame your build/gear/hands or whatever

I would argue that all but the trashiest builds should be able to complete all the content.

If you're going to gate the endgame by build type, that's bad design.

And an l2p argument? Really? That's what you have to say to people dying before they can act?
my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.

Games with all the content being accessible to any kind of builds, even the shitiest ones are exactly the kind of game assisted game that PoE should not become, at any cost.
And thanks god it isn't.
It is normal for some builds to eventually have troubles facing some kind of content.

This map is supposed to be hard, and any decent build has at least one good AOE because otherwise it'd be too slow/tedious.

I lost my Onslaught witch in this map:

Too much mobs on screen, down to like 1 fps, and RIP !

GGG putting content that the engine cannot handle without a very good setup ( hardware wise obv ) is another story =///

sad.

I do not agree (except that telling the OP to "l2p" is lame and uncalled for).

This is one of the ways the game says your build may need work. Or your gear. Or your style. Not all content is accessible to everyone no matter what. Some builds cannot do some things because they have weaknesses. The alternative is, well, D3. Blah.
I personally think the Unique Maps have a big design flaw.

They are brutally hard when you play them when your character is in a +/-3 level span around them. Like playing CT with 63-69 (unless super-geared and already using lvl20 gems).

On the other hand, they are super-easy and not a challenge in any way when you do them "overlevelled", like playing CT with a Lvl 80 character. But then you don't get XP and the only loot is the garanteed unique.

So you have to find the "sweet spot" between too challenging and too easy to get the best out of these maps.

---

And then again, it comes down to "am I prepared?"... You need to be able to do serious AoE and you need a defense that isn't bothered by hundreds of little attacks.

On my 81 witch yesterday, I got 5~10% xp from the CT, so it's not that bad actually.
It was fun tho !

any build can beat cowards trial. Well, any build that is viable for mapping. And yes l2p, as harsh as it sounds, applies to a vast amount of criticism on these forums. I personally wish no harm to anyone, I wouldnt mean or want to offend anyone, but when its a blatant l2p issue you cant just ignore it and pretend the person has a point.

Its not a bad design to make content that shit builds cant beat, thats essential to having a build system that actually means something.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Was one of the first Maps I had drop after beginning in path of exile.
To think I almost tossed this in my map device at level 75 alone. XD
Anyone willing to recommend a min lvl for me to go in at? (Most likely alone)

thanks in advance =)
