Indeed a key would be good, but surely all our dudes will get deleted that we have put time into, so could just wait a couple of months for the open beta? I hear diablo 3 got flameedd in cruddy history could always play that until this becomes open.

Yea, they will get deleted. But closed and open beta isn't for just trying out the game like a demo. Betas are meant for you to test the game and find bugs and offer feedback on how to improve the game!
